“We arrived at 12:30. A few patrons still dining. They left, a few entered. Quiet and the 7000 TV's were silenced. (Okay, exaggerated a bit) But Service, (By Laura) was friendly, prompt, and frequent! The menu? OMG! What looks MORE MMMMM? I had Cam Cam Shrimp Tacos in soft shells with ELOTE Corn Side. OH....MY....GOD! Delicious The Tacos? STUFFED with large, crispy-fried Shrimp I could die for! $$? Yeah a bit, but OMG, big-time WORTH it in Spades, Diamonds, Hearts, and Clubs! I WILL be back! SOON! “I'm a fan of every J & J I've visited. They have a favorite of mine my entire life. Smelt. Also picked up whole wings and catfish filets for later. Im a truck driver. So I grab a few orders for days ahead. The smelt didn't make it out of Mishawaka, however. Ate them while driving. Perfectly cooked, in my opinion, as usually the case with all orders I've picked up. Small place. But most people tend to call ahead or order to go.“

“My wife and I had dinner there to celebrate our 63rd anniversary. She had the steak and shrimp while I had the shrimp duo (grilled and fried shrimp). The only minor complaints were the croutons on the salad were very salty and the shrimp (all of them) were slightly overcooked. (Not unusual in the midwest) Although we told her not to, the manager took them off the bill. Our server, Lorenzo, was very attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a very good evening. The Chandon champagne splits were VERY reasonable.“

“Googled recommended this place when we were looking for somewhere new to try... but I will say we were not disappointed! The service was prompt and friendly, with nice recommendations toward the menu. The food was great! I had AYCE fish (hake) and it was delicious! The breading was nice and light, so you could actually taste the fish. My hubs had fried chicken and he enjoyed that as well! The best part was the cheese and crackers they brought out with our soup... well definitely come back!“

“I especially love their AUCE fish on Fridays, their wings and their pizza is also good....burgers not so much, in my opinion, if you are going to have specialty burgers, use a good quality burger. I was told they were open again on Mondays but have been disappointed twice that we've driven all that way and they were closed before 6pm. Seems if you say you are going to be open until 8, that you would be. All that aside, we enjoy the atmosphere and having Club Keno, so we can have some drinks and gamble a bit, is a bonus!“

“The Royal Seafood House was better than I expected. We had clam chowder and coconut shrimp to start. The chowder was flavorful, creamy and had plenty of tender clam bits. The coconut shrimp was very good. It's definitely worth a try. Of course the star of the show is the seafood boil.
I love the menu options. You can go with one of their pre-picked boils or you can pick all your own ingredients. I recommend picking your own just to make sure you don't miss out on any seafood you like.
FYI: the lobster will be tough because it gets overcooked sitting in the HOT broth of the bowl so beware. Others have stated it's due to poor quality, which is not the case at all. It would benefit the restaurant if they put the lobster in last and then removed it and brought it separately.
You also get to pick your own seasoning butter and spice level. I picked medium which had just enough spice so you didn't forget it was there.
I definitely recommend eating here if you like seafood.“
