J J Fish offers a mix of delicious and disappointing dishes. While their gizzards and fries are fresh and hot, and their smelt is perfectly cooked, some meals fall short. The fish and chips have undercooked fries and dry fish, and the batter on the gizzards is too salty. The hushpuppies are affected by old grease, and the condiments lack flavor. The packaging is also an issue, with coleslaw and hot sauce spilling out of the bag. Despite these flaws, the staff is friendly and the portions are generous.
