“I am glad to see majority great reviews for this family-owned business! They have earned it! Most hospitable host, Juanita, has shown me, my friends and loved-ones true service, kindness, and graciousness every single time.
Truly the first bite out of every meal has been delicious and flavorful. Not one person I’ve brought said otherwise.
The portions are a pretty good amount so come hungry!
Their place is colorful, clean and unique— a hidden gem for sure. It’s hard to find places with this kind of atmosphere. Thank you for providing us guests with a wonderful experience every time. 💖“

“Got a 4 piece fish dinner with FF barely finished 3 pieces. I think it was supposed to come with cold slaw, but I really don't know whether I could find a place to put it in my stomach lol. Best fish I've had in South Bend. Almost a whole piece left.“

“My wife and I had dinner there to celebrate our 63rd anniversary. She had the steak and shrimp while I had the shrimp duo (grilled and fried shrimp). The only minor complaints were the croutons on the salad were very salty and the shrimp (all of them) were slightly overcooked. (Not unusual in the midwest) Although we told her not to, the manager took them off the bill. Our server, Lorenzo, was very attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a very good evening. The Chandon champagne splits were VERY reasonable.“

“Being from Chicago where J&J fish are plentiful. Finding one in South Bend, Indiana was a pleasant surprise. I just had to stop in and order some Perch and Wings. I asked for lemon pepper to be added to the food. The only complaint I had about the food is that they put so much on that it was grainy and over powered the taste of the food. Should I ever get back there again, I will refrain from the lemon pepper. I was pleased with the service of the gentleman, Jay, that waited on us.“

“Googled recommended this place when we were looking for somewhere new to try... but I will say we were not disappointed! The service was prompt and friendly, with nice recommendations toward the menu. The food was great! I had AYCE fish (hake) and it was delicious! The breading was nice and light, so you could actually taste the fish. My hubs had fried chicken and he enjoyed that as well! The best part was the cheese and crackers they brought out with our soup... well definitely come back!“

“I had an amazing time with my family here the server was amazing. She made sure we had all our drinks all our food. She refilled our drinks without us even having to ask her. The restaurant atmosphere is amazing. It’s beautiful. The food is absolutely amazing especially the sauce. You gotta check it out.“
