“Went in not too long ago on a Saturday for lunch, from the time we walked in, The owners greeted us with a smile and were very personable, which is a lost art these days, so we were very comfortable from the get go, at that time we had multiple questions about the menu and AGAIN the owners explained every question we had in detail with no fluff, I ordered Italian Wedding Soup which is the BEST I’ve ever eaten, and finished with The Mostro… Great big portions and the food itself was amazing, we finished with desert and when we got the bill… again we was pleasantly surprised… I recommend to the highest powers that be that Ammirato’s Meatball Cafe is a hidden Gem and will definitely return for a different item on the menu”

“This is an unassuming little place, but the coffee and pastries are really tasty. And what makes the place is the staff, which is SOOOO nice! Its my favorite place for mid-bike-ride pause from Chicago.
Give them your business. You will be happy you did.”

“When we went apple picking in NW Indiana near Chicago (Oct. '24), we discovered New Oberpfalz Brewing in Griffith, IN. What a great brewery+pub with outdoor and indoor seating to observe Oktoberfest! German cuisine on their menu was very typical of Gasthausen (guest houses) in Bavaria, The variety of their beers, lagers, and ciders created unexpected options to choose from to pair with the menu. The town of Griffith around the brewery has specialty shops to visit and there's a massive Serbian Orthodox Church on the edge of town with striking architecture. We plan to return to explore Griffith and tour New Oberpfalz' brewery.”

“Amanda, the Director of Operations, was so friendly and efficient. She was easy to work with to plan our corporate ice cream party. The driver who came was also very nice and the ice cream was delicious! Will definitely use Ice Cream on Wheels again!”

“First time ordering here. The cheese pizza was ok, ordered thin crust and would say cheese slightly over done. Ordered sausage thjn crust and the crust was too thick more like traditional NY style crust. Dough was very dense. But the cheese pizza crust was pretty thin. The sauce and chuck sausage and cheese had good taste. Breadsticks were good and cooked perfectly and were tasty. We ordered a house salad with ranch. The ranch was good and thin,tasty. They did however add onions and we told them no onions. Solid choice for chicago pizza, but there are so many options in NW IN. for pizza.”

“I called to ask about having a birthday party on short notice for my son’s 30th and during the holiday weekend and received a call from the owner letting me know it wouldn’t be a problem at all! I could bring my own food and decorate and he would have a DJ for the night. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating for anything we needed! Service was exceptional at the bar! My family and friends complimented the establishment as soon as they walked in the doors. We look forward to future gatherings or parties here for sure! It was a wonderful evening had by all!”
