“Doug was patient, cordial, very attentive. My mom, 96, has not been out for a meal in 5 yrs. Doug made this a pleasant experience for the 4 of us. Comfortable sitting, great comfortable noise level, not crowded sitting( we had a wheelchair), food excellent. Pork shoulder outstanding. No stickiness on anything. Best day/meal ever! Thank u Doug”

“Hello , me and my friend just got off work working night shift last night and we heard from our coworker about this place!!! So we decided to come here this morning right after we got out of work.. let me just say , the people are so nice and gave us a discount for working at the hospital in Dyer! “We typically love it here. However, we had an easily avoidable issue yesterday. The app only allows the "call ahead" for up to 6. We had a party of 12. So, we called the location to ask if they could accommodate a party of 12. We kept getting placed on hold by 3 different employees only to be told they can't give a time estimate until we are physically there (15+minutes btw of employee after employee). Okay, we pack up and head there. After arriving we are told they can't even sit the 12 of us together and it's a 1.5 hour wait. What a WASTE of OUR time. I understand the wait is based on the customer traffic. But if you guys know you can't sit 12 together, TELL US OVER THE DAM PHONE!!!!!!”

“We went to Johns in Dyer and had a fabulous experience. We went for my birthday. 4 adults and eight grandchildren. The food was amazing and the service was awesome and the boys making the pizzas were so nice to the kids. The kids were watching through the window and the cooks were interacting with the kids. They had a blast and are already talking about how they want to go back. We will be definitely visiting Johns soon! Thank you all so much for the wonderful food and wonderful and friendly service!!!”

Tonight my mom in law and I split a slab! 🔥🔥 I'm a "tester" of ribs...and believe me when I say....I will ALWAYS be going for these EVERY time! NO sauce needed!! (And besides....I'll be supporting my son while he works there 😍). We met the owner, he asked how we enjoyed our time. Of course we mentioned Austin is ours, he had nothing but great things to say about him! He said we have a good one! JC is an amazzzzzing server!! 💖 If you haven’t been there....go! The drinks were the highlight—well made, consistent, and exactly what you want when you’re out for a good time. The atmosphere also stood out in a good way. It had a lively, comfortable vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening without feeling too crowded or overwhelming.
Service was another positive. Attentive without being overbearing, and everything came out in a timely manner. You could tell they were on top of things, which always makes a difference.
Food was a bit more middle-of-the-road. We tried the jalapeño poppers, and while they were decent, they didn’t quite stand out compared to everything else. Not bad by any means, just not the star of the show.
All in all, Spanky’s delivers where it counts—great drinks, good service, and a fun atmosphere. If you go in expecting a bar-first experience with solid food on the side, you’ll leave happy.”

“I go to this place all the time. Ever since the owner sold the establishment the atmosphere changed , the order process changed & the taste change.
I can’t order my skillet with a waffles anymore it has to be toast or pancakes. I used to love their strawberry lemonade. Now it tastes like water, the sweetness is gone!!. And when I went last week it was hair inside my waffle.(it’s time for me to find a new spot) I wish the previous owner would come back. Because the new one isn’t managing his business properly.”

“I decided to order something different from Kenking, the beef and gravy was good and tender but very salty I had to add water to make it palatable. The Cantonese fried shrimp was bland and needed some sauce for flavor. Overall the food is great, outside of the 2 dishes mentioned, so I will be going back but I will just stick to my regular order.”
