“GREAT BAR!! The place has really turned around since the bar owner sold her other bar! Lots of remodeling, new pool tables, I had even recommended her to get a pinball machine in there because me n my friends love pinball, well low an behold SHE'S GOT ONE COMING THIS WEEK!!! The crowd is mixed from young to old n black to white to Mexican NOBODY IS EVER SINGLE OUT HERE AND NOT WELCOMED.“

“I’ve been all over the U.S. and by far this is the best bar I ever been too mostly locals but great company would 10/10 recommend if you are stopped in the area, only downside they don’t serve food but if you get food nearby feel free to bring it with you but there are plenty of options nearby!!“

Rear kitchen sometimes features restaurant takeovers with special menus as well. Located in the heart of downtown Griffith Indiana it's the perfect spot for break while shopping. “I recently hosted a last minute surprise birthday party. Everyone at Sips & Stones was incredible. I was looking for a place that would just allow seating for 25 people without having to reserve a room or have pre planned menu. “Sometimes the owner of uncle Bobby's bar will Grill some food. The atmosphere is very nice everybody knows each other a lot of active and retired fireman and policeman attend. “I was looking for a close spot to have a cold beer and grab a bite to eat in-between my daughters volleyball games and stumbled upon the gem called R Place. This spot is great! I was told that they have been in business 42 years! WOW, and I can see why. They are very friendly and treat you well. The food is fantastic and the locals are very laid back and make you feel welcome as well. If I was local to the area, this bar would be my base! A throwback feel to the better times, in my opinion. 5 ✨'s! I hope to get a chance to visit again.“

“Great pizza, but dropped the ball with service on recent visit. This is one of our favorite places for pizza in the area, and we go there regularly. The food is always good, but today, we sat there for over 20 minutes without a single person stopping by to offer us water, offer to take our drink order or even just acknowledge our being there. It wasn’t even especially busy - most tables were empty. We gave up and went somewhere else.“

They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. “Wow!! What a beautiful space overlooking the lake calumet with boats. Outdoor patio for smoking stogies, plenty of TVs to watch football or any live action sports team. The music system was loud and good.. the drinks were good and were open pour.. I very reluctantly came here for a friend’s birthday.. had never been..
