“I was traveling through Crown Point and was blessed to have parked across the street from here. From the moment I walked in to the moment I started my 5 hour drive back home I was greatly impressed. The owner, the staff, the amazingly delicious offerings... I don't travel this way often but even when close I will be sure to take the time to come back. My only advice... “We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!“

“Went to the Valpo location this morning and brought my mom along. Was a first time for the both of us. While the food was good, service was excellent, however, I ordered the meat lover this morning which was 3 scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, hash browns and sausage. The only complaint I have was the eggs. While they were good, it was only like 1.5 eggs. did not seem like 3. Thats my only complaint. Thought about ordering a side of eggs to make up for it, but decided against it. Other than that, it was delicious. I will be back for sure.“

They have the best French toast then any other place around the area! price was more than fair!! Great food, cheap in price, recommend over Sophie's pancake house in the old bakers square building!“

“Riviera is a great little local diner. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is good. The prices reasonable. I've eaten there dozens of times. It's comforting, familiar and affordable.

I can tell that the staff gets along well and I'd guess that they have been working together for quite some time. They joke with each other and with the regulars. There is a lot of laughter. It creates a pleasant environment in which to sit and eat a hearty meal.

Its not fancy. It's not spectacular. It's just a good little spot with nice employees who care. And I've come to realize that it is surprisingly hard to find places like that. And they should be appreciated.“

“First time Golden Bear in Lansing. The food and service was great. However, when I checked my bank account I was charged $9.98 more then the amount on the receipt I received from the register. When I went back the manager was very nice & helpful. She refunded the $. The restaurant receipt had the same amount. I pulled up my bank account & showed her the amount from my bank. We both thought it was so strange! Maybe the register malfunctioned? Again the manager was awesome!“

“Enjoyed breakfast as a family of 3 adults. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and a large menu to choose from. I enjoyed FRESH strawberry waffle (fresh fruit in December!!) My husband had FRESH blueberry pancakes and my son had biscuits and gravy! Decent pricing, easy access from interstate ( just a short drive down Indpls blvd). We'll be back when in the area.“

“Had the fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, breakfast platter; all of it was homemade and fantastic. Probably the best fried green tomatoes I have ever had. Everyone was friendly. Just all around fantastic. My other half had the burger which looked amazing and had fresh waffle fries. These people know how to cook and treat other people. I’ll be back even though it’s 1000 miles from home.“

“Great food, my go to spot for breakfast! The half off breakfast deal is amazing. Food is always good but the other night the server Shannon, worse service I've ever had! I understand mistakes happen but I said clearly what I wanted and even pointed at it on the menu. Wrote the wrong thing on the paper and when I asked gave attitude whole time acting like a mistake cannot happen on her end.“

Deborah is so sweet as well! I hope you all know what great employees you do have! In the middle of the night, normally we would receive service that was subpar because most people do not want to be working in serving midnights. This was not the case at all with these two! Naomi is a good addition to your team. She had us laughing the whole time! Thank you for hiring to employees like this!“

“I never have a bad time! Literally the world's best pancakes. You can tell how homemade everything is. If you're debating about the hash brown casserole GET IT. Seriously it's so amazing. Really affordable prices and an amazing atmosphere!“

“I ordered the sirloin tips and eggs and was pleasantly surprised at how yummy it tastes!!! It was very tender and marinated to perfection with mushrooms and onion. Very high compliments to the chef! Our waitress Robin was very kind and helpful along with the hostess (forgot her name). Food was delicious, but it's time for updates in the restaurant itself.
There were several holes fixed with black duct tape in the booths and tables under the vents couldn't be used because they leaked water in the table. There needs to be some updates to make the full experience a little more pleasant.“
