“Our server this evening was absolutely wonderful! She was the only bartender and waitresses. She was a Rockstar! Not only did she provide great service to us. She was amazing with all the other guests. She had a full bar and about 8 tables. We had a wonderful evening!”

“Visiting the area and family wanted us to try their brews as one of their favorites. Tried a flight of 10 beers and favs were Tangerine Trackstar, Toxic Words, Lucifer in a haze, Immoveable King, Nuban overlord and the top one Here comes the reaper. We also had the Pretzel and queso for snacks. They were very good and fast. They also had ice tea which is not always available at breweries. I will say the art work gave me pause and some of the names being a Christian but I don't know the background to comment.”

“We went to Ninja Kidz down the street and kids had a hankering for pizza.I typed it in and took me to this place.Got a XL sausage/pepperoni pizza and I’m a pizza snob but this was one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had!Got mozz sticks and chicken strips,they were gone before they cooled down.If I’m ever in the area again I’m def going back.”

“We absolutely love this place. My gf actually brought home a Philly Steak and Cheese and the Italian ice when she had seen the food truck at her work at the Mill. We loved it so much we looked up the business and drove multiple times from Portage to Hammond just to get it again. Soooo good. The best Italian ice I have ever had!”

“Food was so good! Happy we were able to try it while visiting out of state. Tacos de tripa y birria were so good. We had the queda berria combo with the tapatío Roman and that was delicious. We had some filled churros to end the night. 10/10 recommend. Limited sitting but great places to get take out and enjoy!”

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. We had no issues with seating, and our orders were taken promptly without feeling rushed. The food? Absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their dishes. On top of the great food and service, the prices were very reasonable, making the entire experience even better. “I have eaten this pizza since I was a little kid. It’s the same!! I’m so happy! It’s so cool to eat something that you grew up eating. The Barton’s crust is very specific and delicious. I love their cheese. My kids like it now so I get to eat it all the time. They have excellent cheese bread too. And even though we don’t eat meat anymore the meat eaters around have said that their sausage tastes the same too. I remember exactly what it tastes like! lol. Try it!”

“I was recommended by some locals and it did not disappoint. I tried jumbo shrimp which had really good size and very juicy. I also tried medium Cajun shrimp, which I personally would like to see the jumbo shrimp in this seasoning. Overall crazy good. Cash only makes it harder for a quick last meal. But good over”

I also got myself a polish beef because I saw they had Vienna Beef products. I enjoyed my items that I purchased. “My first time eating Gorditas, and how DELICIOUS.
Here they make very delicious ones, both meat and chicken, for me the Chicken one was the tastiest and with everything.

The tacos are also very delicious, although they do need to add guacamole.

The quality of the coke has gone down a bit, but the patrons that frequent Home Plate are some of the finest people that you’ll ever meet. The only other bar in Hessville that was FAR SUPERIOR the Home Plate was Brothers II, and sadly that fine establishment is no longer in business! RIP RON & SUE”

“I always get my favorite sandwich the cold cut trio and today I decided to go with Italian herbs and cheese bread and they did not disappoint. I really enjoyed using my subway coupon, which gave me no trouble, and the ladies there were polite and very helpful. Inside is clean and neat, and the veggies looked great this time. They must have fixed the temperature gage in the cooler under the veggies, because at on point they were getting freezer burn, and I had stopped going. But I returned and yes they have it all fixed. I'll be back to this subway for sure ?”

“You know the best time for me to go to this White Castle is when I am sick from medication and I need food right now. This certain location makes me feel like I am at home chicken rings always hot, coke soda stay on point. Every time I go through the drive up so far no matter who is there they are alway nice even sometimes the cooks come from the back give me my food and tell me have a great day. “What can I say Walmart is Walmart just hate when they run out of things. Driving the distance I drive to be disappointed. Also might I add I found a carpet cleaner 2 weeks after my after my first trip I was there Walmart made me happy again with the Hoover carpet cleaner, cleaning my carpet with it I am impressed love it thanks Walmart.
Walmart just keep getting better in better when I walk in there now at first as you can see I was disappointed in the beginning, 2nd time around fell in love with my carpet cleaner, now look at what I found for my brand new grand baby she go be so comfortable. Thanks again Walmart you all just keep showing up in showing out so proud to come there . Also guys try to get a towel warmer it’s awesome ordering on line from Walmart is great .”

“Food is usually pretty good here. Service during the day is good but if you go in late at night, just be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for your check or Togo boxes. Portion sizes are decent. Nice selection of desserts in the front. Bathrooms are taken care of pretty well.”
