“Had an amazing dinner!! Food was 12/10 Had the steak and lobster special and the poblano pasta.. don’t forget the molten cake for dessert. Every single bite was amazing!! Our server had way too many tables in her section. She was very rushed, but also had people around helping fill our drinks so kind of made up for it. We will be going back for the steak and lobster very soon.“

“We went in for the Saturday burger special. It was delicious flavorful burger. I’m not a burger person so finding one this good was a delight! The wings were very good too. It’s a relaxed atmosphere which was so nice to enjoy our meal and drinks.
Parking: Parking available on street and side south side of building“

“I absolutely love this place!35 and older!Security is a priority, you must be buzzed in to get into this gem of a place.Diverse crown with people of all walks of life. Located in Gary, Indiana Hunter's Inn is the oldest constantly operating tavern in the city of Gary! Rustic hand built wooden bar, old school refrigerator, J&J's famous Pizza too!!!Definitely worth stopping in and having a drink and getting a pizza!Wednesday evening there is a soft tip darts tournament too!
Parking: All cars are under video surveillance and you can watch your car from the bar on CCTV“

“I called to ask about having a birthday party on short notice for my son’s 30th and during the holiday weekend and received a call from the owner letting me know it wouldn’t be a problem at all! I could bring my own food and decorate and he would have a DJ for the night. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating for anything we needed! Service was exceptional at the bar! My family and friends complimented the establishment as soon as they walked in the doors. We look forward to future gatherings or parties here for sure! It was a wonderful evening had by all!“

“absolutely amazing spot. I was stuck in Indiana for two weeks for work. I was surprised to walk into a place with nice tables that were $0. thought it was a special but no. I went back every night I could for those two weeks and the pool is free everyday. the pizza is amazingly tasteful and the people are even better. makes me wish I didn't live 12hrs away or I'd be there as often as I could.“

Vegetarian options: There is one salad - I would look elsewhere
Kid-friendliness: This is a bar. I don't think it is good for kids
Parking: A decent sized lot right next to the place
Dietary restrictions: Menu is limited but staff is fairly flexible as everything is cooked to order“

“I didn't order any food when I recently visited Spanky's - a bar and grill located in a small strip mall located at 15213 101st Ave. in Dyer, Indiana. I had a few drinks, served by the very kind bartenders, and really enjoyed the live music with my friends and family! You can smoke in the bar, but it is pretty well venhilated, according to my non-smoking friends. There is a decent sized stage, plenty of space to sit at at the bar or at the tables in front of the stage, and there wasn't a wait for the bathrooms. There were three stalls available in the ladies room, which were clean, and it was nice not having to wait! Prices for the drinks were very reasonable. If music isn't your thing, there were plenty of TV's to watch - showing the news, gameshows, and sports games. I had an awesome time, they had amazing musicians, and I look forward to going back soon!
Parking: Because the bar is located within a strip club, parking can be limited. There are signs in front of the businesses that state only customers for that business can park there. There IS free, additional parking located behind the strip mall, though.
Kid-friendliness: This is a bar that features adult music. You might just want to leave the children at home with a baby sitter if you're going late!
Wheelchair accessibility: There are parking spots for disabled individuals. Those with wheelchairs shouldn't have much trouble navigating the single level bar.“
“I've known the owner, Santa, since she was 4 yrs. Old.....Even though I don't drink alcohol, and the strongest drink I'd have would be a coca cola or Pepsi, I occasionally would stop in to say Hello to my good friend Santa !!!“

“Came in and the place was completely empty, sign said "seat yourselves" it felt kind of awkward but someone came out to greet us a few seconds later. Staff was super friendly and nice! I brought my grandmother and she wanted to split her meal with someone who wasn't able to come to the restaurant in person, so they brought out half of her meal and waited until we were almost done with the other half freshly made and packaged! Lake perch was great! Not like other restaurants that try to serve ocean perch as lake perch. The Nashville hot chicken strips were a little disappointing they didn't have any heat to them, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was really good so it made up for it! Mac n cheese was delicious, I was even impressed with the fries! None of them were soggy or over salted! I'm sad I couldn't have tried them sooner!“
