“This was our first time at the EAST HAVEN tavern. The last night of summer weather, was perfect. ADAM was our server & HE IS TERRIFIC! Adam was fun, entertaining, friendly & had us laughing throughout the night! He made our time there, WONDERFUL !!! He was on top of everything the whole evening!!!!!! We stayed about 2.5 hours. Their patio & deck area is very relaxed & cozy ! The food was EXCELLENT! KUDOS TO THE COOKS ! I had the East Haven burger, my wife had the Bleu cheese burger. We had fries, coleslaw & macaroni salad. The garlic mushrooms were a great start to the experience! The was a lady server, don't know her name, who stopped by to check on us during the night, several times as well. !! GREAT SERVERS, GREAT COOKS, GREAT ATMOSPHERE ! WE WILL BE GOING BACK !!!“
“I've been going to this rustic old place for almost 15 years, laid back and friendly. It's been a great place to grab a beer, wine or lite bite to eat since 1895. Still has the original bar stand and alot of the original wood. This bar will take you back to the past.?“

“It’s my husband and my first time here! It seems like a more upscale sports bar when you enter. Best bar rail we have seen in a while! We let Kaitlyn our bartender know it was our first timehere. She was super sweet and had a nice welcome. Very attentive during our time there. The food was good too! Loved the pasta Kaitlyn recommended. Husband said the wings were "freaking awesome"! Thanks Kaitlyn and Pub 1802! Can't wait to come back.“

“My band, Riot Division has played here twice. We love Carl's tavern! Everybody there is always super cool and friendly. Chad Sowers has booked both of our shows and always does a great job with the bands! You could not find a more honest promoter! If you have a chance to go watch some bands there or if your band has a chance to play their, do it! We will definitely be back! Hopefully again and again and again!Parking: You can park down both intersecting streets and there are also parking lots.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps at the front door or throughout Carl's tavern. Anyone in a wheelchair should be okay. I always look at stuff like that because when my back goes out, I'm stuck in a wheelchair for a month or so.“
“Bar staff is super friendly. The drinks are always cold. They do have a pool table. That's a rare commodity in this small town. As most of the other bars do not. The Wet Spot also offers daily drink specials. Not on the weekends. The Wet Spot is a Piller in the community, by hosting events and poker runs. Has great live bands. Offers a touch box for music when bands aren't playing. You can smoke inside. They also offer a good size patio out back for some fresh air.“

“Wings are very good as are fries and tenderloins. I would rate the wings as one of my 2 favs in the Ft. Wayne area. Half price on Wednesdays. Wide selection of beer on tap. Can't recall last time I saw Coors Banquet(not lite) on tap. Reasonable prices particularly on beer. Friendly staff.“

“Very cool small town bar. Stopped in to check it out because I heard they have gizzards. Unfortunately, they were out but offered chicken hearts as a substitute. Although, I like chicken hearts I doubted I could eat a basket of them and passed. Instead, I had chicken wings, fries, onion petals, broccoli and bacon cheese bites, and breaded mushrooms. It was some of the best bar food I've had in a long time. I also enjoyed some cold Miller Lites to wash it all down. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere, but I think that's one of the things that makes the place. Service was outstanding! I didn't catch the lady's name but she was hustling and taking care of everyone. I'm certain this isn't the last time I'll be there. Check it out! UPDATE: I made a return trip to try the gizzards. They're a no for me. I prefer mine crisp with a crunch or snap when I bite into them. These were more like they were pre-cooked to tenderize them and then battered and deep fried. They're like they have at 9 Mile Restaurant, which obviously I didn't like either.“
“I never reveiw but I have to say, this was a night filled with enjoyment and laughter!! We wanted a girls weekend but where having a difficult time finding things to do. The main comedians where Aaron Hall and Kenny Mock, both were full of entertainment and unique talented content. The setting was close and intimate but not crowded. We enjoyed drinks that where fairly priced. The owner Micheal, definatly chose the correct profession, he was great at cracking jokes in between acts and making the show come together as a whole while keeping the energy up. Service was awesome and we where checked on regularly. I will definatly be keeping this place in mind for the future! Our only complaint: the chairs at this location are not for those who need more cushon.“

“Stopped in tonight for dinner (the buffet) and found all the staff to be SUPER friendly. Building itself is huge, appears well kept, and lovely outdoor areas. Food was super satisfying and the Carrot Cake was to absolutely die for. One of the best we have tasted in a very long time. I would have saved more room had I know it would be that delish! Great job! Thanks for having us! The kiddos had a blast too!“

“Great service, good food. If you are in New Haven, I would recommend it. Restaurant with a separate bar area. Little outdoor area in nice weather.Parking: Abundant parking. As far as the eye can see.Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant. Clean well kept.Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of handicap parking and wheelchair accessible curb.“
“I'd heard this is the best pizza in New Haven, so I decided to give it a try for lunch today. When I called in my order the gentle man that took my order was really nice and welcoming and patient being this would be my first order. My order was ready at the time I was told it would be and again the staff was even more friendly in person. When I picked up the box it was heavier than I thought it should be for a medium pizza. When I made it home and opened the box, this pizza had more toppings than I have ever seen on a pizza and it was delicious! I will certainly be back again. The only thing for me is the cigarette smoke makes the place smell bad, but I can definitely deal with that long enough to carry out a delicious pizza.“

“Great little bar with tons of character. Our 'mixologist' Jenny (I am so bad with names, I hope I got this one right) was amazing. Super friendly and mixed a great drink....very attentive. Didn't have the pizza, but wish we had. We were only in town for a short while, but would have gone back for more had we stayed longer. It's usually hard to tell from the outside of some places, but I think most women would feel comfortable here.“

“I haven't been there for a long time, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, I had grilled chicken chef salad and my friend ordered the pork chop dinner, both were made to perfection, the wait staff were very attentive. The price was very reasonable, when I go the next time if my experience is as good I will give it a five star.“

“Actually a pretty nice place actually really good food only complain I have is they need a smoke filled or because the cigarette smoke was almost unbearable and also they need to upgrade their restrooms toilet is right next to wall and for tall people it's hard to do their business“

“Tony Contino sponsored his fourth annual birthday party bash at the Double Eagle with the Hubie Ashcraft Trio. The Double Eagle is always a good time, but live entertainment adds to the crowd and the fun. Tony also sponsored a fish fry as part of the party. The DE was packed with a fun group for the Sunday PM party. Beth and Jesse did an excellent job keeping everyone served. The three hour concert breezed by. Everyone had a tremendous time. DE is a great place to join friends, relax, enjoy conversation along with food and beverages. Especially as the weather is finally turning nicer, look forward to spending more time with friends at the DE.“
“On our way home to Chicago from our week-long visit to Columbus, Ohio, my wife and I decided to stop in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a lunch break. It's a 5 1/2-hour drive and Fort Wayne is at the midway point. Hence, a good place for a rest stop and refresher. I chose to stop at Don Hall's Gas House & The Deck, the top-rated restaurant in town that is open for lunch. Located at 306 East Superior Street, the former 19th century gas plant on the banks of the Maumee River offers a sleek atmosphere for steaks and seafood with brick walls, wood floors, high ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows, leather booths, a bar and a riverbank patio. Open from 11 to 10 Monday through Thursday, 11 to 11 on Friday and Saturday and 11 to 9 on Sunday, it is just what the doctor ordered. And who would have thought that something called The Chicago Burger would be the best-selling item on the menu? We started with bowls of New Orleans gumbo. My wife indulged in a Patty Melt on grilled rye bread with American and Swiss cheese, pickles, onion and 1,000 Island dressing. I couldn't resist The Chicago Burger on a toasted onion roll with grilled onions, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles. With French fries and coleslaw for the both of us. It pays to do research on restaurants and hotels while traveling. Or we might have missed Don Hall's Gas House.“

“I was here for step sons birthday. Had the fish sandwich (cod) I believe with fries. Garlic bread as a starter. I'd order again. Drinks cold, and the server did a great job. The only question I have is how the jaguarmeiser had slush in it. I've always froze it, but never slushy.“
