“I love this place! I hope we get to go back some day. I had a tasting flight of mead and peary. I found two that I absolutely loved! The pours were huge for a tasting flight. We took home two bottles of each of my two favorites!”

“This is an awesome place. Very clean and organized. Wood burning fireplace warms you to the bone. The meads are outstanding! The service was the best I've had from any wine/mead business. Samples where plenty. Many different serving sizes when you do figure out what you want. They have mead growlers and pre-bottled/canned products along with many other non-mead items for sale that are locally made. They do serve some snacks but you can bring your own food. Hint-there is a great very old tavern less than a half mile away that serves outstanding food. Also we where informed of live music and firepits during the summer. Definitely worth your time to stop by.”

“Thought I reviewed this one, before. I've been here many times. I've got nothing but good to say about their very, very cheesy pizzas. And while they technically offer Supreme, meats, taco, Buffalo chicken etc... (just under more fun names) they taste better than you'll usually get, elsewhere. I remember being most impressed by the difference between their Buffalo and others I've had.Of course, the atmosphere being a nostalgic feast for the eyes is a huge reason to come in.If I HAD to pick a negative, I had a salad once and it was... just a salad. Nothing spectacular. Probably because it's, you know, a pizza place. “Just picked up a pollo haurache , personally think that these are the best in the Fort. Homemade tortilla ,cheese, veggies and grilled chicken was on mine bit of a hole in a wall place but a local favorite ”

“My husband and I went here for drinks after dinner. The drinks were amazing! I ordered a green tea and we also tried peanut better bumps which were delicious! I love that they make their own unique ice, the drink menu was large and had a great variety of new drinks I have never seen before. It's very cozy, and we loved the look of the bar! “I am a long-time customer and am have little disappointed the last couple of times that I have ordered from here. Something has changed in the last year, and it doesn't feel for the better. I just paid $10.78 for two small, half destroyed pieces of cake (they used to fit the container). I have overlooked some things in the past, but it's getting old.”

“Been hanging out at The Wet Spot since I was 21. Back in my hay day it's was called 254 Tap. It's my 1 of 2 favorite places to be. Everyone there is great. Go check it out.”

“My band, Riot Division has played here twice. We love Carl's tavern! Everybody there is always super cool and friendly. Chad Sowers has booked both of our shows and always does a great job with the bands! You could not find a more honest promoter! If you have a chance to go watch some bands there or if your band has a chance to play their, do it! We will definitely be back! Hopefully again and again and again!Parking: You can park down both intersecting streets and there are also parking lots.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps at the front door or throughout Carl's tavern. Anyone in a wheelchair should be okay. I always look at stuff like that because when my back goes out, I'm stuck in a wheelchair for a month or so.”

“Was not impressed with the band, it was a little loud, tin sounding, more like a jam session, very hard to dance to, may I make a suggestion, try Joy Ride, won't be back for this”

“Pulled up to grab a bite and realized it was 5 minutes until they closed, not wanting to be those customers we went to walk back to the car when the owner popped out and told us to come on in. We sat ourselves, and had service immediately. Drinks were brought out right after, placed our food order and within 10-15 minutes it was on our table. Service was absolutely amazing, will 100% be back again!”

“My daughter surprised me the night before her birthday and wanted cheesecake instead of a traditional cake. I am not a cheesecake baker, but I have eaten plenty and grocery store cheesecake was not going to do. Purple Mountain Cheesecakes was able to provide me with a cheesecake the same day, because real cheesecake takes hours to make, but they did! My daughter was thrilled with her cheesecake and I will be back for more!”

“Everytime I come here workers n owner are very welcoming as soon as I walk in with my abuelo they sit us down immediately and take our orders quickly been coming here since I was around 12 food is always good and they are still yet to get my order ”

“Food and service was great!Over 30 special brew beers and ciders. Interesting food options. The food we had was really good, especially the pretzel and pimento cheese. The atmosphere was very chill with low volume music in the background, which was nice. The ciders I had were excellent, and the group with me liked the variety of beers they had. There is a back patio outside with open and covered seating.Overall, it was a nice place to have some good beer and food.”

“I stopped here to get my kiddo a little ice cream treat to end the week. The service was good, the attendant was friendly, especially to my boy. They had a number of options of ice cream, as well as soft serve and dipped. They also have a solid food menu. We only tried the one ice cream, though.”

“This is the 2nd time we've had a sub-par experience. On a Sat evening at 6:30, we waited almost 10 min to be acknowledged, and we were the only customers in the dining room at the time. We were told they were out of salad. Paid $2.99 for an iced tea and couldn't get a refill because they didn't make more after serving the last glass. At least the pizza was still good. This used to be on of our favorites.”

“I've been going to this rustic old place for almost 15 years, laid back and friendly. It's been a great place to grab a beer,wine or lite bite to eat since 1895. Still has the original bar stand and alot of the original wood. This bar will take you back to the past.?”

“After being on the road all day, this was the first place I saw, and we stopped for dinner. I am so glad we did! The food was outstanding! The service was exceptional, and the server was very friendly. I got the grilled chicken club baked sub and chips. It was the best chicken sub I have ever eaten! My son got an Italian sub and chips, and he said it was superb! The facility was clean and so were the bathrooms. The next time I go to Fort Wayne, I will be stopping here again. I am not a smoker, but if you are, you can smoke inside. There were also video game machines and TVs so you could watch the games. Give this little gem a try.”

“They had the best fried pickles around Fort Wayne! The ice cream was good, too. Their ice cream machine was broken at the time, so we couldn't get our first pick we wanted. Service was good. It's a cute place, looking forward to visiting when it's warmer out.”

“We live nearby and like to get take out when we're short on time for a meal. The orange chicken is delicious, but a tad on the spicy side. The combo comes with crab Rangoon, and vegetable rolls. Great portion sizes.”

“The menu had a nice variety of items, the food was pretty tasty. Atmosphere so,so too difficult to hear each other talking due to the noise. Service, not great our waiter had a bad attitude and screwed up the orders.”
