A must for anyone who eats gluten-free!
Azucar Morena at The Garage on Mass Ave is a fantastic! As someone who eats gluten-free, it was such a treat to find so many great options. The empanadas are gluten-free (a rare find!), and the arepas were delicious and very filling. The homemade sauces are packed with flavor and really make every bite.
Juan and Mariana Del Carmen were kind, friendly, and so accommodating. You can tell they care about their customers.

Currently on a road trip and stopped at The Garage. Not only is this venue awesome but we grabbed dinner from Azucar (we got the Catira & Caribbean). Wonderful, friendly staff. Great food. The Garage also has a very thorough and friendly staff in general.

The food has gone downhill. Unfortunately, because I loved this place when the garage first opened, the arepa was flavorless (shredded beef) and without seasoning. The fried yucca was undercooked (twice) and doused in salt. The sauces, which cost $2 each for an ounce (!!!) very underwhelming. Bummer.
Cumaco remains the only place in Indy that I know of for a reliably good arepa.
