Soup was amazing. Chips and salsa good.
I only give the food four stars because the burrito was just a tiny more bland than I like before I did my fixin's. I'd rather use a 10 scale and give it a 9 out of 10.
I give them a 5 star for the food in the above because my girlfriend gave it a 5 for her dish.
Service was truly 10 out of 10. We were exceptionally attended to throughout the entire dining experience. The waiter and the on duty manager came by several times.

Cuates Mexican Restaurant is described as seriously the best Mexican food around. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is AMAZING, with the fried burrito with the shredded beef called absolutely delicious. One reviewer gave the food four stars because the burrito was just a tiny more bland than preferred before fixin's, rating it a 9 out of 10. Another gave a 5 star for the food because a girlfriend gave it a 5 for her dish. Another reviewer wanted to love this place because Sherman was there; the service was great but the food was just average, and they plan to give it another go and try something different. A first-time guest got the steak fries, which are scrumptious, with the steak having a great flavor, the fries crispy, and everything fast and piping hot, with service excellent. At the Emerson location, the food was sooo good—fresh and delicious, from the chips and salsa (the best around) to the chimichangas—and the service was great, too, in a clean place. Another calls it an absolute new favorite local spot, recommending it to anyone interested in trying a new place out or wanting an incredible meal, with fast and genuinely friendly service, a vibrant atmosphere, and delicious food with authentic flavor.
