I wanted a smaller meal to try, and not something as big as my head; so I ordered a pork tamale, with an order of rice (total cost, $7.07; back to that in a moment.) Both orders were ready about as fast as I was ready to pay (ie, they must already have quantities of both ready before you order.) Both the pork tamale and rice were good, neither fantastic. Stopped in here for lunch as we hadn't been to a La Bamba in years. Not since they closed the one on the south side. The menu is still the same and the food is still the same as I remember it being. Just a little more expensive as is everything. We were the only ones in there so it was quiet and the food was ready very fast.
