About La Chinita Poblana

La Chinita Poblana is a restaurant that offers a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes, including both meat-based and vegan options. Customers have praised the vegan tacos and the turmeric rice and black beans, which are described as tasty and satisfying. The shrimp taco is a customer favorite, described as hot and decently spicy. While some diners were disappointed with the street corn and the watery queso, others found the food to be good with generous portions. The staff is reported to be friendly and knowledgeable, accommodating dietary restrictions and clearly labeling vegan items on the menu. Some customers enjoyed the giant burrito and nachos during their visits. Although there have been mentions of lukewarm food and long wait times, the black beans and rice remain a highlight. The restaurant also features drinks like Thai milk tea, although some found the boba overcooked. Overall, La Chinita Poblana seems to be a decent option for those seeking Mexican-inspired cuisine, with a focus on providing plant-based choices.

I so wanted to like this place that after an underwhelming first try i gave them a second chance. Unfortunately, both times were a miss. Im not sure if food gets cooked the day before and reheated, but both times the temperature was almost cold for foods that should have been hot. This also makes me question food safety, because the manager or whomever should be checking the line before food is sent out.
And yes, service can be a little slow. Considering the food was served...read full review
La Chinita Poblana is one of the many restaurants inside of The Garage in Indianapolis. The Garage itself is super cool. Pretty much just one giant food hall with a lot of cool options. La Chinita Poblana’a Mexican Asian fusion really interested me so that’s where I stopped. Pretty much just your standard burrito bowl but I was able to have mine with Korean Steak which was really good! Overall, a really good meal and a cool atmosphere!
Eat Fusion. Hibiscus Tea must. Aqua Fresca!
