Laphet Kitchen is a restaurant on Indy's near Southside that serves delicious blends of Thai and Burmese flavors in a cozy atmosphere. The food is served hot and fresh, and the service is quick, helpful, and polite. The staff is very friendly and interested in customers. The tea leaf salad is excellent, and it is the only place to get noodles with tofu gravy. The "Tofu Nway" is a Shan noodle dish topped with warm tofu gravy that is so flavorful. The Shan noodles are delicious, especially when paired with pickled mustard greens for balanced flavors. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful. The menu is all day, and the restaurant opens early. There are plenty of sauces, oils, and MSG at the table to adjust the taste. Hot tea is offered, and a whole pot is served. The price is very reasonable, and light music adds a great vibe. Some things could still improve since the restaurant has just opened. The waiting time is quite long, and it would be better if someone were always ready to greet customers when they walk in. Serving water first would make the service feel more thoughtful and professional. For the falooda, adding pudding instead of bread would create a better flavor balance. The chili pickle makes the overall taste a little too salty.
