Everytime we come to Indy Maxine's is a must stop for us. The food was lip smacking good as always, but I miss the old location as it was more of a restaurant vibe as opposed to the new location in the city market, but MAKE NO MISTAKE the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS regardless of where it's located. Can't wait to go back.
I've loved Maxine's for forever but this was my first time visiting at City market since they moved here. The menu has been scaled back. No more amazing fried potatoes (they were the Best in town) but the chicken (tenders) and waffle (sweet potato) did Not disappoint!! The two man team was great and so friendly. It was early and they were not yet open when they saw my wife and I lurking at the front counter. When I inquired when they would open, I was told they would be open in about an hour. The owner must’ve noted the hunger in my voice and stated that if we wanted the Chicken n’ Waffles he could serve us immediately. We got the food and it was spectacular.
