“Everything purchased which included 1/4 of a sheet cake… two dozen cupcakes, mixed flavors…. 16 inch round German chocolate cake…. provided us and our guests with the best. One could ever ask for. Celebrating Liam’s 8th Birthday… Dodgers baseball theme… our guests complemented everything they were eating.. they wanted to know where is this bakery and we told them… In addition the round cake was for Liam’s mother celebrating a milestone birthday herself…. Excellent customer service was provided from beginning to the moment we picked up everything yesterday October 4 … along with my friend they lovingly loaded everything into my vehicle.. of course yesterday being almost 90°. I made sure that the car was full blast on air conditioning…. Yum Yum Yum the Italian buttercream frosting…. So once again, thank you thank you thank you… YOU MATTER…”

We ordered a deep dish with low expectations (as the further from Chicago we get the pizza usually isn’t as good in our opinion) but we were very pleasantly surprised with everything about our pizza. The dough was delicious and cooked perfectly, fresh mushrooms, huge chunks of sausage and a perfectly balanced sweet sauce. The garlic rolls were a nice touch and SO good! We will most definitely be back!”

“We visited the cafe recently. my daughter ordered a chocolate covered strawberry latte and a blueberry muffin. I ordered the cinnamon rolls and a drip coffee since I'm not big on coffee drinks. I prefer black coffee with a little sugar. The employees were very friendly and nice atmosphere for a little cafe. The strawberry latte was good. The blueberry muffin was one of the best. The cinnamon rolls to me were ok. Had to wait 20 min for them to be made. Only complaint was the drip coffee was horrid.”

“It was our first time visiting the Viking Chili Bowl in Valpo. We called ahead for a table since we were a party of 6. Glad we did. Even though the place was packed, we had excellent, friendly service. I was impressed that our food arrived as soon as it did. The food was good. My husband absolutely loved the ham. Portions are big. My granddaughter barely got through a half on one of her pancakes. I had the fish sandwich with Onion rings. Sandwich was standard. I really enjoyed the rings. My husband and I ordered the chili to go for dinner. I have to say, I was disappointed. The only negative. The chili looked very processed. Like it came straight from a can. It was an unappealing brown color and it didn't taste good. Guess I had a sort of expectation from the restaurant's name. Again, everything else was pleasant and enjoyable outside of the Chili. We look forward to returning some time.”

“Well everyone always tells me if you have bad service once you should always try again. Well I did and guess what service was still bad. With only 9 people in the bar area we asked for menus and drinks. We got the drinks but the bartender was too busy on her phone to come back and take our order. After waiting almost 30 minutes I walked out. I use to go there at least three times a week. Never again.”
