“I have been to this restaurant several times and have had great experiences each and every time. The owner, John, is welcoming. He greets me and my party every time. Very hospitable! The atmosphere is lovely.

My most recent visit was with some ladies…we celebrated a retirement. I called the day before and the table was all set up for us which was a party of 11. We had a server named Kayla, who was friendly and attentive to each of our needs. Surprisingly, Kayla advised that John had something special for us. She then brought out complimentary brownie bits which was the perfect finish to a delicious meal.

“My husband and I were visiting family and they recommended we all have brunch at Tony’s. OMG so worth it! The biscuits and gravy satisfied my connoisseur husband, and the vegan options for the mexi breakfast burrito were delish! Great staff and owners, and be sure to get the tiramisu croissant!”

“We made 6:15 reservations on Friday. Very friendly service and prompt! The cocktails were delicious, my husband had the Violet Gimlet and I had the Strawberry Rhubarb Shrub. For dinner we shared the Buratta (mozzarella ball with a honey glaze) and the fire roasted pizza (the one with the sesame seeds and chili sauce) so good! Great time, we will be back!”

“Grandma’s catered my daughter’s graduation party this weekend and it was phenomenal! We go there often and always recommend it, so it was a must for her party. We ordered for 60 people and in my opinion got way more for a very reasonable price. Almost all our guests went home with a plate and we still have leftovers. If you have not been there go now, breakfast, lunch, dinner it doesn’t matter it’s always 10/10 with their food and service. And if you’re thinking about catering definitely choose Grandma’s!”

He has games set up to use board games and electronic. I definitely recommend the peanut butter avalanche as well as any other drink. Food is tasty to.”

“I went in last night it was every bit of 90 degrees in this establishment. the one gal who's super quick and very friendly opened up the doors for air flow, great decision and she ever worried if the boss would be mad. every time i go in and shes working my family and i get the best service. If more businesses had employees like this in their work place they forever have our business. maybe some of the gals should take pointers we don't always get friendly service especially from the younger employees. GOOOD THING OUR DAY GAL WAS WORKING NIGHTS. made our horrible day better by the time we left.”

“I am a native Californian and have been eating Mexican food most of my 75 years. Based upon reviews I stopped here for dinner and ordered the Alambre steak dish. Without hesitation, I can say it was one of the top 10 Mexican dishes I have ever had. It's a complete tragedy that I live 2,200 miles away and will never get to enjoy this dish again. The service was top notch on top of the great food.”

“what a darling coffee house! I cannot put into words how sweet the staff is here! I went in on a Tuesday last week, got a mouth watering bragel with crisp bacon and a hot butter bear AND to my surprise I was given a glow in the dark halloween cup! This location is by far the BEST of all biggbys in the history of Biggby. I did not take picture to show the world because it was just so decadent I attacked my meal right away lol. I visit the Westville one often and they are just as sweet but Laporte has my heart, the baristas are so pleasant and make my day with their energy and smiles. I just had to share this positivity with the entire world, you don't come across many chain restaurants or any restaurant for that matter that really take time to be personable and engaging. this is now my daily stop, this location can have all my money! today is their buy one get one free Wednesday and again to my surprise I got two drinks to fuel my day! I love it! if you haven't checked out Biggby here in Laporte you are missing out! shut down the other coffee guys Biggby already blew them out the water!!!!!”

“Let's be clear right up front, this is an old school bar and grill, complete with folks having a good time and singing along with the tunes at the top of their lungs. That wasn't the atmosphere I was looking for when I walked in, but it didn't matter.

What I was looking for was a good meal and 3rd base delivered. I had the western burger topped with homemade onion straws and BBQ sauce. I have enjoyed a lot of BBQ sauce in my lifetime and this honestly may be the best I have ever had. For my taste, it was perfect. The straws were just right. Anyone can make a burger, but these toppers made it a damned good burger.

Service was great. We stopped later in the evening. The place was full. We found a table and received almost immediate service. Like magic, every time we needed them, they were always there.

“Had a pickup. Looks like they load product right out of the oven. They saying that an average loading time is 2 hours. Which is okay. Only problem is, they used that day only 1 door, out of at least 20 doors, for live loads. Be patient and expect to spend some time waiting.”

“I have been here a couple of times now, and the burgers never disappoint. The mushroom and Swiss are definitely the best in the area. The fries are also delicious, and it's all very reasonably priced. I also had the blue bacon burger, which is very good.”
