“Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and fantastic wait staff! (very attentive, but not hovering... perfect!) My Seafood Pasta was spicy & soooo good!! (I had to use a shot of lemon juice to keep my lips from burning, but I loved everything about it!! 😁😘) The strawberry margaritas were so good. “I used to go to the Checkerboard to hear a deejay on Friday and Saturday nights. A father and son duo alternated nights. One was "DJ Bubba" and the other was "Doctor Chicago." They played oldies and it was a great atmosphere. This was around the turn of the century. I recently went back after being away and it's still a great place to relax. No more oldies I guess, and that's a shame. Oh, for the old days.“

“The spot is very unique, and so cool!
The decor is really unusual with so many different things to look at.
The best I think is the backyard or the outside area with two fire pits inside a privacy fence.
You go out there and you can sit outside and everybody comes out there and sits by the fire and talk and meet people.
Atmosphere is great I didn't get the chance to eat food, that I was told by many people that the food is excellent there, and I am going to have to try it.
Food and drink, I noticed, were a little bit on the pricey side, but it must be well worth it, or people wouldn't come back.
There seems to be a lot of people that do come back.
I definitely would recommend, "The Spot" to everyone!!!!“

“It was really cool to play foosball against other people. It's was my 3rd time ever playing sometime other than my buddy. There are some really good players there! They played a dbl elimination foosball tourney with a random partners. Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow...... I could've stayed for hours more! The place had a great vibe and cheap drinks. “I stopped into Martha Local Bar for the first time. I use to frequent the former two owners of this establishment. I ordered the Taco Tuesday special!! It’s three tacos(any variety, they do not need to be the same three, they have steak, ground beef, pork, fish (which is catfish, BTW), rice, and beans, for a great value at $8.99!!!! Two thumbs up!!!!“

“We had a great time at Tick Tock! Every single working waiter came to our table at some point to check on us, and we could see they truly cared about the customer. I was impressed by rhe curds texture. They didn't look crispy but they were perfect. The burgers were very tasty. Particularly loved the bacon jam sauce. We will definitely be back. Our waiter also expertly handled an entitled/difficult customer seated beside us and apologized for her actions even though he didn't need to. We felt very cared for!“

“when I want breakfast in afternoon or for dinner I call for carry out. my food has always been hot and right never taken but 10 minutes to make. Going in get food it's always friendly people eating drinking never seen any one having problems. for that part of town you wouldnt think Linwood to be as peaceful, comfortable, and always w pleasure.“

“I enjoy coming here with my spouse to play pool! It’s a fun place. We usually try and come a little early when they open to avoid the huge crowds! Also during times when Purdue University is on break, another opportunity to avoid the crowds and to get more attentive service for food and drinks! It’s American bar food, fun food. I would recommend anymore come and check it out! ALSO they have a change mange where you can get quarters using your debit/credit card! Sooooooo great! The pool tables take quarters in order for you to play a game.“
