“Stayed in Portage after visiting the Indiana Dunes. Ordered pizza to the hotel. Driver delivered directly to the room, the pizza was AMAZING! We also got the cherry dessert pizza which was the single best dessert pizza I’ve ever had (think warm gooey cherry cheesecake pizza)“

And it didn't crumble to pieces like most of them do lol. Plus, the service was fantastic. Joel was so attentive and genuine and made sure we had everything we needed. “Me and hubby come here every Sunday morning for soup. He gets pozole and I get chicken noodles the soups are amazing. We also buy their fresh bread and donuts. We drive from Merrillville which is not that far but their soups are worth it. Also, their service is amazing. Paula is a great waitress and so friendly and nice. We love seeing her every Sunday. It does get packed but it's worth the wait which is never that long either.“

One of the few places that have grape and strawberry crush soda ? catfish nuggets and large shrimp were fried perfectly, and breading was seasoned ....was able to eat without any sauce. “My family and I love JJ's! And if you haven't tried their version of stuffed crust pizza...it.is.a.MUST! We usually get a sausage and pepperoni stuffed crust and the whole pizza comes with a layer of crust on top! Not a thick layer, just enough to 'stuff' the pizza with delicious ingredients. They have pretty good mild/hot wings and they staff is always courteous. They messed up our order one time and we had driven to pick it up and didn't notice the mistake until we got home. We called them and they offered to deliver our order to us, no charge!“

“Every Tuesday evening I travel from Crown Point to Portage to meet with friends. I have to decide what restaurant I will eat dinner in on the way. This restaurant always calls me back so I pass countless restaurants on the way to always eat here. I crave the Hot and Sour soup, a pot of hot tea and the Barbecued Pork Lo Mein. Nothing better in N W Indiana. Great food.“

The woman at the front taking the orders needs a different job that does not require her to deal with the public because her communication skills absolutely SUCKS.
