“Hong Kong 1 in Hartford City has easily become our go-to spot for Chinese food, and after ordering from here many, many times, I can honestly say the quality never changes. That kind of consistency is rare. Every single time the food is hot, fresh, and exactly what you expect. In my opinion, it’s the most solid, reliable, and best-tasting Chinese restaurant in the East-Central Indiana area—and I would even put it above some of the larger buffet-style places nearby.

The Crab Rangoon are outstanding—perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy, flavorful filling that isn’t overly sweet. Their Beef and Broccoli is another standout: tender beef, fresh broccoli, and a savory sauce that’s balanced and satisfying. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is always done right as well—crispy chicken with a bright, tangy sauce that hits that classic comfort-food spot. Beyond those, many of their more traditional dishes are just as excellent and clearly made with care.

Another thing I genuinely appreciate is their takeout system. It’s simple, efficient, and very well organized. For people who prefer quick and easy pickup (especially introverts like my wife, lol), it’s honestly perfect. Order, grab your food, and you’re on your way—no hassle.

To Noah Conners comment I was in there the day that you and your wife were there and you guys were never asked to leave on top of that if they can’t make the pizza and didn’t receive your order because they do not carry that pizza then what do you expect to happen lmao. I’ve tried to order the burger pizza before and had been told that they do not carry it at their location and I moved on with my life. Sometimes it’s better to listen rather than screaming and calling someone names over a pizza.”

“Service was good. I asked questions about the flat bread they are supposed to have from Hero with virtually no carbs but could get no answers. Looked up regular flat bread with a whopping 30g some of carbs.

I gor my standard cold cut trio on ital8an with pepper jack toasted. Lettuce extra pickles and mayo.

“Always a wonderful experience. Once I ordered ahead and when I got there they realized they were out of Mexican pizza shells, but let me replace that item with anything else I wanted on the menu. They are very friendly and I always appreciate that.”
