“I became a patron for the food and the general atmosphere. Now it’s my go-to to get out of the house. This little gem is Muncie’s best-kept secret. Known for their statue of Paul Bunyan, this bar serves all the usual bears and has a fairly deep liquor shelf. Their food is out of this world. I personally recommend the ribeye sandwich and fried mushrooms.“

“Bartender Angel was being rude and talking about us behind our backs. Expecting tips when I'm here to have fun. Getting rude at other customers for eating food a friend of mine brought for EVERYONE. Fire this woman. I don't appreciate the rudeness or the talking behind our backs.“

“Yes, I would recommend The Chug, every staff member that I have encountered have been easy going and kind, as well as being humorous which help make the experience better. However, Rachel that works Wednesday nights has the worst egotistical attitude. I’ve never met anyone who has intentionally made fun of a customer as well as belittle them. As an owner of The Chug, I would remember to remind your staff about their place as a bartender. They do provide customer service and that comes along with human decency and a kind attitude. Thank goodness the second bartender, (I don’t recall her name, curly haired woman) was there to provide us drinks. She is someone who you should use as a reference when hiring new employees. Thanks for all the good nights prior to this night in particular. I will still go to The Chug in hopes that people like Rachel are not working.“

“I love this place!! There's not much to do around here unless you want to end up somewhere gross with sticky floors, but this hole-in-the-wall place is classy and clean and everyone is SOOO nice! I was there tonight and they had a DJ, which was something I wasn't used to at this place but I was pleasantly surprised. He was so good! It's a great place to go. You can sit and relax, play cards, have a drink OR you can get up and dance! I wish there was a better way to get the word out about this place because it deserves so much more hype than it gets.“

“We went to Trust Your Butcher Steakhouse tonight in Muncie ! It was fantastic! Best steakhouse we’ve been to in a while! Live elegant music, gorgeous authentic taxidermy & skulls, amazing food! We had oysters, fried green tomatoes, great steaks, a super tasty jalapeño queso scalloped potatos, amazing sweet potato casserole, risotto, bison burger, penne pasta & crème brûlée! 10/10! Great service, atmosphere & food!“

“I booked Be Here Now for my college TV show's 25 year reunion. We held the party in the backyard, and it was the perfect space - looked cool, lots of room for people and a photo booth, big water jug set up without us asking, and we were able to play our own music. Our group (around 60 people) ranged from current Ball State students to people who graduated in '02 and everyone had a great time. There were a couple of bartenders, someone working the door, and an audio guy included in the price, plus we got a great deal on pizzas to bring in from Greek's by mentioning our event at BHN. Yes the bathrooms are dive-y, but it's a small tradeoff if you want to have a fun, casual event in a place that doesn't feel like a sterile conference room. Most of us ended up staying past our rental time to afterparty in the bar. It's a real unicorn of a venue - here's hoping this place and The Chug never turn into condos!“

“No stars on service. We brought the band into town for the first time. We also brought 30+ people with us. Most all have never been to Cheers Tavern. There's always one employee, with tight curly hair that ruins it all. I was assuming that there was table service? I apologize if I'm wrong. However, tight curly haired woman wouldn't serve at the bar either. And when she was told she gave shitty service, she decided to cut one of our parties' friends off. Idk, but if I had that many new people, I wouldn't make the establishment look like a two-bit, low-life saloon style hang out with favorites they'll serve all night long instead of serving the crowd. I'd fire her. No wonder the place is for sale.“

“This was a good experience. Good food, not a long wait at 6:00 about 15 minutes. We sat in the bar area at a table quick to ask us for our drink order but then she had to take care of the bar drinks so it took a few before we got our order in. Once we did normal wait on food to be made when it came out tasted good“
