Literally the best food in downtown new Albany
Don’t be sleeping on Aladdin's Mediterranean / Middle Eastern Cuisine located in downtown New Albany. Admittedly, it had been like 8 years since I have last patronized, which I regret!
It was very delicious! Price point good. Portions were big. Friendly service and didn’t take long to get our food, despite it being Friday night.

Petra Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Cuisine is a favorite restaurant in the area. The food is described as the most insane food ever, with not a single issue. The schwarma bowl with the roasted veggies is amazing, and the chicken shawarma is hands-down the best ever had. The (Double) Gyro with a side of rice is excellent, and the baklava is amazing, especially when paired with the Turkish coffee. The coffee is unbelievably yummy. The desserts are amazing, and the pickles are the only ones that don't make you feel gross. The workers are so kind and helpful. It is a hidden gem, family-owned, and tastes like Jordanian home cooking. Portions are amazing.
