“My son and I stopped in for breakfast on our way back home from Indiana. I had simple bacon, eggs & stone ground grits with a blueberry . My son had pancakes with strawberries. Service was spot on, the food is fresh and was well prepared. My son said this was easily the best breakfast he had this year.“

“This place is a gem, don’t let location fool you.We have been coming here for almost 6 years since moving from California.We’re a bit particular of good food, and every time we dine in here it feels as though the Mimo family cooks just for us.We have our go-tos.Hubby likes the Tomato Basil Pasta. My go to is the Seafood linguini.I personally also think they have the best calamari ever. It’s light. Not overly breaded or greasy.The marinara here is delish, I’ve heard three people tell me they could drink it by the jug >_<Portions are sufficient for one, not family style to share and have all these leftovers, which I personally like.Having worked in a New York-style Pizzeria for approximately 4 years myself, I do opine that their pizza here (at least cheese and cheese + pep options) are 10/10.Prices are also very fair.If you like a clean portion of Italian fare locally, (we’ve tried all the other options around)… we highly recommend Mimo’s.“

“This was our first time eating at La Catrina. Hands down the best tacos I have ever had. The staff was super nice and on top of refills and just making sure the food was amazing. You must try!!!!!“

“The restaurant is good, I don't care what other people have said. They have homemade bread. I always get chocolate chip pancakes and the hubby gets a regular breakfast with eggs and meat. It doesn't cost a fortune. The grandkids get Mickey mouse pancakes. They are always slammed at breakfast and they have a small staff. They do a great job with the staff they have. bottom line is the locals know where to go and they pack the restaurant every day!“

“Sunday Brunch was well worth it! Unique menu, great service, and not overpriced. They even had a card waiting for us at the table with a birthday greeting on it for our celebration! The atmosphere is swanky but not pretentious - they did a beautiful job of maintaining the character & charm of the old hotel building and kept it in line with the historical features. We will definitely be back to try their dinner menu and have a drink in the bar!“

“Ate here for the first time last weekend for lunch. I wasn’t impressed with the menu options and prices seem rather high. I order chicken and dumpling soup expecting a small bowl and it came out like an entree. Temperature was luke warm at best. More dumplings than chicken and cost $12.99. I was expecting a small bowl which lists for $4.99 on menu. Server didn’t mention the chicken dumplings was an entree special.Ambiance is not great inside. Iced tea tasted a bit light. I honestly can’t recommend personally, but you may have a better experience than I did.“

“Oftentimes when I’m in Louisville I stay at Caesars Southern Indiana. The casino’s food options are pathetic, so I ventured out to find Floyd County Brewing Company (you probably pass it on Main St. if you’re going to the casino).I’ve been a few times and the service is always top notch, the selection of locally crafted beers is great (I’ve not had one I don’t like), and the food is of great quality (I usually get a burger).Most recently I got the “Sirloin & The Shrimps” and substituted the grilled veggies for the mashed potatoes. All was seasoned great and the steak was cooked to perfection (rare).I highly recommend Floyd County Brewing Company if you’re in the area or at the casino (it’s better than anything they have to offer).“

“I spent about three years hearing about how good this place is before I visited it. With that in mind, I went in thinking there was no way it could meet the lofty expectations thrust upon it by my friends and family. I was right.Somehow this place managed to exceed all of my expectations. From the delightful and attentive server, to the delicious food as pictured here. Visiting America is always a journey for my stomach, and Tumbleweed was my favourite food stop on this trip. The environment doesn't immediately give off cozy vibes, but once seated it's easy to feel like you're the only table in the room.If I could give the service more than five stars, I would. My glass was never empty, and he never came around in that awkward phase right after you take a bite which was very nice. The chips and queso make for an warm up session for the meal. Overall, I am very much looking forward to returning here again, and making it a regular spot for myself and everyone I can drag there with me.
Kid-friendliness: The inclusion of a kids menu is a wonderful touch, and kept ours entertained throughout the whole meal. The staff were very nice to her as well.“
