“Amazing seafood, appetizers and desserts (bread pudding is phenomenal)! A must is having Samantha at Sam’s Food & Spirits as our server. Hands down the best food and service anywhere around! We are so glad we stumbled on this place. The manager Sam came and met us personally as well. The entire experience is worth the drive!“

“Worst place ever I went with my friend and they did not take care of us because we are Latinos we waited 15 minutes and they only brought some chips and then when I was leaving I had to pay 25 dollars for the chips.“

“We stopped at this location on our way home to Lexington KY from Kansas. This was the first time we have eaten at this location but we stop at Bearno's almost every time we visit Louisville. We always order the Super Mama Bearno's special and take it home and eat it for a few days. The pizza at this location was THE BEST one we have ever had! We will be back to this location even if it is a little further out of the way. Alexa B was our server and she was delightful!“

“Great offering of bottles, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bottle your own was a fun experience to do. The tour was also great, despite being a relatively small area, it was engaging and informative. Atticus & Kristen were wonderful tour and tasting guides. I hope they get a raise.“
“Anderson, our tour guide was amazing.
The tour was so informative and fun.
Without question, if you are coming to Louisville- get here!!
Absolutely awesome experience!

“Excellent Craft Distiller experience. Not only my go-to Bourbon (Double Oaked), yet after my first tour and surprise visit by Corky Taylor (Owner and Great Grandson of Founder), I have to say, I am very pleased that I visited and got the whole story. Excellent history worth hearing.“

“It's rare that we have a date night on a weekday with two young children, but tonight was the exception. When I realized our anniversary was falling on a Wednesday, Perso was the first place that came to mind. Perso's Prix Fixe Menú is available every Sunday through Wednesday and offers a three course meal for $29. It's no secret that I'm a fine dining enthusiast; but who doesn't love a bargain? If you're looking for a nice night out without breaking the bank, this is your spot. Perso sits at the corner of Oak and Shelby in the same location as the former Square Cut Pizza. The giant windows in the front provide an abundance of natural light. The interior has a modern industrial vibe with painted exposed brick, plants, and Edison bulbs hanging on pendants. One wall with wooden slats gives a Scandinavian feel to the main dining area. It's a small-ish intimate space with a beautiful patio. For my first course, I chose Crostino Di Tonno- olive oil poached tuna, stracciatella, pickled celery, and Calabrian chili. I followed my first course with olive oil poached swordfish, corn chowder, and golden zucchini scapece. For dessert, I had the chef's choice: apple strudel with whipped cream cheese. My husband chose heirloom tomato with roasted eggplant, bagna couda, and fine herbs. For his main course, he had pork tenderloin with edamame, beef dashi, and fine herbs. We both opted for the chef's choice for dessert. I tasted each of his courses and they were every bit as delicious as my own. The edamame provided the perfect texture and his tenderloin dashi tasted gravy-esque without being overly heavy. Mostly notable, besides the insane deal for such decadence, was the fresh flavor combinations throughout. Our table had fresh rosemary as a centerpiece. The corn chowder was right up my alley. I could've licked my bowl if I wasn't trying to pretend to have a bit of class. The swordfish was tender, juicy, and not overly fishy. The tuna flatbread was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The mint on top of my whipped cream cheese truly set it apart. My lavender Manhattan was earthy and smoky, not just in flavor. It was literally smoking. My husband had an old-fashioned. Neither of us were disappointed. Our server, Amanda, was phenomenal. She offered recommendations. She visited our table to ensure we were satisfied the perfect number of times. Her warm demeanor was professional while also being personable. She was everything we hope for in a server. Perso's Sunday through Wednesday Prix Fixe Menú is hands-down one of the best opportunities for an affordable night out. That being said, once you get a taste of what they have to offer, you'll be sold on splurging any day of the week.“
“Enjoyed the tour with Bryan. We were met with a black manhattan or an old fashion cocktail before the tour. He was very knowledgeable. He kept the information light and numerous. Sampling 4 different bourbons neat all along the tour was so much better than a tasting at the end.“
“Just the best people and a distillery tour that keeps you in the greater Louisville area, outside downtown but once your walking the ground you feel as if you could be out in the hollers or farms of the Commonwealth. The history is without compare. The team is knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and pours are proper and showcase the diversity of a rich bourbon family past.“

“Had a great time on what ended up being a private tour for my wife and I since no one else signed up. I'd give it 5 stars if this were Yelp. Really interesting story on their more recent challenges and how they have thrived/survived. They have some great whiskeys to try and some of their unique finished stuff is incredible. If I had one complaint, it would be the plastic tasting cups.“

“All of us at Whiskey University had such an incredible Time going back into history and living through prohibition in the 1920s!!
Everyone we interacted with was very knowledgeable and you could tell that they were well trained by Heaven Hill. Our journey included some wonderful top shelf selections of Whiskey!
The manager on duty and way out of his way to make sure that all our needs were taken care of, and all our questions answered!!
10 out 10!! This would be our number one recommendation of all distilleries if you only had time to visit one in Louisville!“

“Louisville staple! Delicious fish and fries. The fish is thick and not too much breading. Definitely get your moneys worth! Don’t forget to get the onions on your sandwich. So good! Look forward to it every year on Saturdays. Make sure you get there before they run out!!“

“Our first time trying J Grahams Cafe. Driving thru the state The Brown Hotel was not far from the interstate. After eating the hot brown at the Lobby Bar & Grill earlier in the year we thought we would return to try again. The Bar & Grill was not open but luckily we got into the cafe. Easy access! Free valet parking for dining at the cafe. We just pulled up to the valet, gave them the keys and they took the truck. We had made a prior reservation for the cafe, but we walked right in. The cafe is only a few steps from the valet drop off. It cant be any easier than that! It was around 2 pm and the cafe was fairly empty. We were seated in the front in a window so we had dinner with a street view. We noticed our truck parked right across the street and not in the garage was a plus. The cafe was clean and tables had been set to picture perfect. We ordered two hot browns and truffle fries with two sweet teas. Our order arrived within a timely manner. The truffle fries are delicious. Served with a smokey ketchup and were also served with another white dipping sauce. The hot browns very good. Maybe because it was so late in the day before closing the turkey was a little tough. Still very good just tough. Disappointed our sweet teas were not near as good as we had had before in the Bar & Grill. They were sweetened with syrup and you stirred at the table. Was expecting that and that was not the case. Service was about a 3.5 to 4. I did have to ask for a refill tea, twice, from another server, after what seemed like a long time especially while eating and wanting to wash down the food. We had Derby pie for dessert. It was very good, but $12 price tag seemed very pricey. The server brought us our ticket soon as we finished eating and we had already decided we wanted to try the derby pie, so we asked can we still have dessert? She said oh yes sorry about that. I felt a little rushed. They did not close until 3 and it was just 2:45 with others not even being served their food yet. All in all it was good. I would return, but only if the Lobby Bar & Grill is closed. When leaving the valet returned our keys to us and they were not our keys. After several minutes they found our keys and we walked across the street to our truck.“

“I love Wild Eggs and my go to server at the Jeffersonville location! Sadly, I was disappointed for the first time today due to the lack of cleanliness of the booth we were seated at. There are A LOT of old food pieces and crumbs all around the seat between the vinyl and wood. Even our host noticed it and attempted to clean up with a well-used bar mop towel. Needless to say, I immediately washed my legs and changed shorts when I got home after sitting on all that. These restaurants need to stop cutting servers and igniting safe sanitation practices to save a buck! Pay your team a true wage to clean. Thank you!“

“20 years at the playhouse and tonight’s dinner was the worst! The sides were half cooked and not the usual The salad bar was depleted and the choices were wilted looking like leftovers. The salad bar looked like the scene of a food fight. Gross! How is in charge now? Great fried chicken and fish as usual. So disappointing“

“My family loves Ethiopian food and look for restaurants when we go to big cities. Their food was flavorful, delicious, comforting, and cooked very well. The service was friendly and the owner talked to us several times. We tried both the vegetarian and meat platter for two, as well as the sambuca. So many yummy tastes and the injeera was perfect. Come check this place out!“

“As an airline pilot who's traveled across the US and internationally to a lot of cities, I’ve eaten at many restaurants, and Addis Grill in Louisville has become one of my favorites! It’s centrally located downtown at 109 S 4th Street, right between the Kentucky International Convention Center and the Galt House Hotel. It’s an easy, short walk from the Galt House and other nearby hotels like the Hyatt Regency, Louisville Marriott Downtown, Aloft Louisville Downtown, and Courtyard —super convenient when you’re staying in the area. The family-run environment is always welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly. My personal favorite is the Lamb Kebab Special—perfectly grilled, flavorful, and seasoned just right, but they have many other excellent options. It’s been outstanding every visit, and I always stop by when I’m back in town! If you’re downtown, do yourself a favor and stop in. Highly recommend—easily 5 stars! Thanks for the amazing meals, Addis Grill team! 🍽️✈️“

“Moved to the area a little over a year ago and always wanted to try First Watch but with their hours and our schedule never aligning we never got to go until today. We ordered the million dollar breakfast sandwich and the choose two with the turkey avocado sandwich and the chicken chopped salad. We also got the dragon fruit drink, the honey cruch iced coffee, and the salted caramel doughnuts. Drinks were very good. Food was good except my order was wrong they gave me the Cobb salad and when I told our waitress the issue and the mistake and all she said was that she could bring me some chicken for the salad. I declined because we were already done eating and I didnt see the point of the chicken when they were two completely different Salads and toppings. I don't like blue cheese which was all over my salad so I picked around it and ate what I could and my half sandwich. Other than that the experience was good. Just disappointed and not the happiest with the resolution.“
