“A hidden gem. It's a splurge meal for sure, but it's nice to have that kind of quality Italian in a smaller market. Reservations suggested. Sorry no pics, as it's kind of dark in there (and I flat forgot lol), but the atmosphere is intimate. The only knock I would give it is the simple fact that it is a tight fit, so it's tough to feel secluded for an initiate evening, but CERTAINLY not impossible. Enjoy the food and the service- it is excellent and you should go!“

“Three of us had dinner on Tuesday night. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. Our server was Yasmine. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive but not obtrusive. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. We had a lovely leisurely dinner. I would definitely return.“

“Rachel! Thank you for the solid smoked old fashioned queen! We just moved here from Vegas and hadn't had a good one yet! Your calamari recommendation did not disappoint either! Thank you! We will be back!! Cool vibe, fresh fish daily and this place will promptly be added to our regular stops!“

“Man let me tell you. Every year Im sad when they close for the season. And we get excited to see the first Saturday in March. Why u ask well that's when Suburban Fish Fry returns from hibernation to cook up their golden cod. And it is the beast fish fry in Louisville bar none. My wife used to come here and get fish with her grandma and now years later we are carrying on the tradition. If you are in the mood for fish on a Saturday look no further than Suburban Fish Fry in Louisville KY. I got mine this past Saturday all 8 lbs of it. Now what are you waiting for, go and get you some this Saturday.“

“Stopped in here after a flight back from Chicago. The food was great. Staff was on top of keeping our drinks full. Menu had plenty to choose from and had pictures. The pictures are always a plus when choosing cultural dining. Overall we had a great time the prices were fair for the great food and service we received.“

“Wow. Now THIS is some good food. There are plenty of places that do "street tacos", but La Catrina gets it right. Very delicious. And the wait staff was super friendly as well. If you're walking the big four bridge, stop by and give them a shot.“

“After reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot and was gladly surprised not only by the ambiance but by the signature steaks and side dishes I was able to try. All of this supported by a professional and service oriented waitress made the evening. The Medallions Trio, part of tonight's specials was amazing!“

“I went to this place for the first time a few months back. It was a great first time experience! I got the fried catfish seasoned with lemon pepper. It was a good amount and I got full. The food was fresh and hot just like I like it! The staff member named DeeDee was very friendly and informative. She knew their selection well. I have went back a few times since then with a friend. Love the food here! ?“

“tried the place for the first time yesterday. While I will return, I still think Rita's Taco and Rancho Allegre in Corydon is my favorite. prices a little cheaper at Rita's but the quality is the same. Very kind gentleman was my server, he was very attentive. I am not too fond of places that have decorations for the day of the dead, we should be celebrating life, plus young children could be sensitive and spooked. with that said, my tacos were delicious, salsa was pretty good, and the Chile relleno was tasty, but wow it was super hot and I'm writing this as it exits, ouch. El Nopalitios in Corydon has the best Chile rellenos, best cheese inside, and I've been all over the US trying then from different places.“
“I wish we had taken a picture of our amazing food. The Eggplant Parmesan was absoluteiy stellar!! Should be featured in a magazine. The flavors burst in your mouth. The homemade marinara had the absolute best blend of herbs and spices. Each one not overpowering the other while still complimenting the roasted eggplant. My husband had the bistro burger. The fried egg on top was perfectly done. Not under or overfried. The handcut fries with parmesan were so crispy. He stated each bite down to the last was juicy and just as delicious as the one before. It was so good we debated whether to buy one to take home for dinner later. We had never had ratatouille, but we wanted to try it. The vegetables with the marinara. Yum!! Succulent. The vegetables were cut beautifully, not thin like some recipes tend to show where you kind of wonder what you just ate. Not here!! Each bite was savored. Made me think of my grandparents and their garden. Thank you for bringing me back to a memory I have missed. We will be back and soon!!“

“The food and service are excellent and we highly recommend. The calamari are literally the size of onion rings. Our waiter was super polite and very easy to talk to. The seafood bread, scallops, catfish, and calamari was our favorites for the day.“

“Beautiful restaurant! I love the bar, it has a classic retro vibe. But, come for the food! I have had multiple items on menu, & I have never been disappointed. I love shrimp cocktail & theirs is top-notch. The latest thing I have ordered is the Amish chicken. The skin was crispy and the chicken was tender. So good!“

“This is one of Louisville's (best kept secrets, and, ) longest standing specialty restaurants in town. And, those onion rings!! There are several potential all-time favorites on the menu. Their portions are ample. You won't be hungry. What? Only a '3' for atmosphere? Uhh, yeah! There ain't much atmosphere..., just good seafood!“

“This is a place that you can actually order food until it says that they are closed versus the ones who close at 10 but you have to be there by 9 in order to get your food and there are plenty of those I will not mention right here but I will if I was asked in Georgetown you don't have any options for any great food or service on one of those days where you really need some dinner late-night This Is The Place To Go these guys are very nice and they want your business and you can tell that they are proud to and glad to serve you food they do want to go home but they will stay open until the time it says that they are open until very very great people“

“5 star! 10 star! This place hits home for my fiance. He's from Chicago and has been very disappointed in the "Chicago" restraunts around. We've finally found one that makes being in Louisville tolerable for him. The Italian beef with nacho cheese added was perfect ! The wings.... if your from Chicago you know. He loves it ! Thanks for keeping him happy ? ?.Kid-friendliness: Great place to make your family feel welcome. Plenty of parking lot space to walk safe with your children to the door.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces, this is large lot.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all flat service, perfect for a wheelchair.“
“I'll admit, I thought I was going to be able to come in and sit down to enjoy a nice meal. However they only have carry-out. Now I am not used to eating such a big, scrumptious, fish dinner in the car. But, it was without a doubt the best meal I have ever eaten. I can't wait to get back downtown to stop here. This time I will bring a towel with me, so as not to get it all over my car. I will never forget how good this place is: fish, red potatoes, corn on the cob, and broccoli with a very yummy spice on it. The man who waited on me was nice and very polite. I presume this place is owned by immigrants so maybe they didn't have a whole lot to get started. You have to admire them that they were willing to do this.“

“Whenever my husband and I find a new place to eat that is 5-star worthy, you can bet I'm going to leave a raving review!!!Recently, my husband was in the mood for a great Japanese steakhouse, and I happened to find this place on Google Maps. We moved to this area from Louisville almost 2 years ago and are slowly finding new places to eat locally and, when we found out there was a Japanese steakhouse close by, we definitely wanted to try it out and I'm so glad we did. We literally ate here 3 times in a matter of two weeks because it was sooo good! The food is absolutely delicious! The rice is fresh and hot, the steak is perfectly cooked every single time, and the sauce is out of this world! ? We have yet to order anything we haven't liked, and we've tried many different things from their menu. The wait staff have always been very polite, attentive, and quick to wait on us when we dine in and when we do take out. The ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing and family-friendly, and the cleanliness is always spot on, including the restroom. This restaurant is now one of our favorites, and we can't wait to bring our out-of-town visiting family members here the next time they come to visit because it's just THAT AMAZING! ?Don't sleep on this place just because it's in a strip mall type setting. Sometimes, the best places are found in the most unlikely areas. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant. It's definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worthy!!! ?“

Darius gave us outstanding service and all of his food recommendations were perfect. Thank you!❤️“

“My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary last night and Alex A. took great care of us! We had a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. I also appreciated that it wasn't served too quickly so that we had time to really enjoy each other and the ambiance, as well as digest a bit between courses. We ordered the filet and NY strip, baked potato and the lobster Mac. Our chopped and Caesar salads were excellent, as well as the creme brûlée. We are so glad we chose Morton's to celebrate our special occasion!“

“The restaurant looked very clean and the decor seemed much improved since the last time I ate inside. Our server did a good job. The food was delicious. We tried the new Crab Queso and the Salt and Vinegar shrimp, which were both good.I feel like Red Lobster has come back to being a place to dine.“

“Today was my first time eating at Southern Express Soul Food, and I learned something new... Comfort Food and Soul Food are not the same thing, but the difference isn't in the recipe. Let me explain.I walked in and was greeted with a smile and friendly conversation with the nice woman behind the counter. I've been to many restaurants with a nice staff that made me feel welcomed, but I had never felt more welcome than I did here. As I ate, I thought about why it was that I felt so welcomed. What I realized was the woman and gentleman behind the counter were genuinely nice folks that were passionate about the food and service they provided. I felt that they sincerely wanted to share their passion with others. The people running this restaurant served comfort food, but they put their soul into it.The woman helped me decide what to get from this cafeteria style restaurant and when she told me how cheap it was, I knew I was in trouble. As of April 2024, every item is $1.75. I gorged myself with fresh and delicious food. I had a chicken thigh, 2 pieces of fish, jambalaya, mac & cheese, and macaroni salad... I wanted to add other things but my plate was overflowing. All of this food, including a can of Coke was $12.25 plus tax.You can tell when something is made from scratch and everything was. Plus it was so delicious... The love that went into the preparation and serving of the food truly made it soul food.I had passed this place many times over the years when I visited Louisville and kept meaning to stop. I now regret not stopping sooner.Vegetarian options: There were many pasta salads, cheese potatoes, and sweet potato, and other vegetable dishes, though I did not ask if the greens and green beans were vegetarian.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is sidewalk level, but when I went, only one of the double doors was working.“

“So I really would like to rate higher, Joe's was the only seafood place open relatively late. But the server who took us was clearly (while polite) we had come that late to closing. (We had family visiting) we ordered some pretty expensive buckets to eat as well as drinks but when it came time to pay the check server mentioned letting my male family member pay which did bother me.Otherwise food was delicious and drinks were great.“

“First time eating at Sam's and everything was great. Breaded pork tenderloin sandwich was the thicker style and came with country gravy and one side. Tenderloin was well seasoned and very tasty. I got the green beans that I mixed with the gravy. Tasted like green bean casserole which I love. My wife ordered French onion soup (delicious) and the Cobb salad. Huge with fresh ingredients. Topped it off with hard hot chocolate and Irish coffee. We'll definitely be coming back!“
