The experience began with a brief, engaging walkthrough of the distillery’s heritage, led by a knowledgeable member of the Beam family. We were then invited to sit at a beautifully set table where four carefully selected expressions of Basil Hayden—ranging from the smooth, lightly spiced original to the richer Dark Rye—were poured in precise, tasting‑size pours. Each pour was introduced with clear notes on barrel entry proof, aging, and bottling proof, allowing us to appreciate the subtle evolution of flavor across the lineup.
Food Pairings
What truly distinguished this experience was the thoughtfully curated small‑bite menu, designed to complement the bourbon’s profile. Every bite arrived promptly, allowing ample time to savor the bourbon before moving on to the next pairing. “Our favorite Thai in Louisville, this family run restaurant in front of the Glenmary community has many great menu options to choose from. My favorite entrees are Jalapeno Beef, Drunken Noodle Beef, and Sweet snd Sour Chicken. My wife loves both the chicken and vegetarian versions of Pad Thai. Several nice curry options are also offerred. The chicken satay, pork dumplings and spring rolls are all great appetizers. Not on the menu but also available are fresh "summer rolls": lettuce, shrimp, pork and rice noodles wrapped in rice paper. And when I am especially hungry, spicy sour shrimp soup as a starter is also delicious. Their black rice pudding dessert is fantastic as well! Best Thai food in Louisville at any price, but the prices here are a great value in these difficult times!“

“We had dinner here tonight for the first time ever. Our waitress was well organized and stayed right on top of getting our food out to us. Perfect! Every platter of food was tasty. Absolutely no issues at all. My one complaint would be the restrooms and the area just before entering them. It was SO cold my grand children didn’t want to sit on the toilet. It’s was freezing-no joke! Please consider a small space heater there for winter nights. Not a deal breaker and will definitely be back!“

“I would give a 3.5 if I could. This place is takeout only, so I went and placed an order. The owner’s young daughter took my order which was super cute. I got the sweet and sour chicken and the lo mein. The chicken by itself was pretty bland, but the sauce was good. The noodles were ok, but could’ve used a bit more flavor. Price is reasonable and service fast.“

“Went today on Veterans day to get my free Veterans meal with my wife...we got there early knowing it would get busy as the day went on....Outback steakhouse Veterans meal was Amazing..I got the 6 oz sirloin steak with bake potato...salad and cheese cake dessert...Again...was perfect...I want to Thank all that was involved here from the several servers who waited on us...I really appreciate Outback steakhouse honoring us Veterans“

“Went here on a whim this evening. Lived in the area my whole life and never popped in. I’ll definitely be going back! The staff was so friendly and the food was fantastic. The guy running counter was so cheerful which is very rare now adays and the lady who rang us out was so nice. Someone give these 2 a raise!“

“My husband and I decided last minute on a Friday night to try this place for the first time. They were busy as any place would be on a Friday night but were very efficient with their crowds. When we were sat, our server Rachael did a great job of taking care of us. I ordered the ribs and my husband got the ribeye. Both were DELICIOUS. We will definitely be back!“
