“Very fun place, our waitress was the sweetest and very considerate. Tried going two other times and couldn't make it. I'm so glad I was able to get in, dine upstairs, and dinner was excellent. It was so nice having grilled octopus instead of fried calamari. Lamb chops were perfect, and I had the "scalabet" for my entree. We finished it off with a cookie skillet. I was STUFFED, so it's worth it.“

“Hi I just want to say thank you for your outdoor mats and dog bowl water and treats! I've been an occasional customer and have never been disappointed with your drinks or service! But I specifically want to mention, I have become accustomed to lots of water bowls downtown especially during the recent heat wave but I realized on an early walk that none are there in the morning before the restaurants open for lunch! I knew I could count on you guys for my pup!“

“I just attended the Donuts with Santa Event with my daughter. She loved it so much! It was so incredibly special. My phone died before the event and you all handled it with grace and were super helpful! I will be back year after year for this event. “I stopped into Red Cup cafe this morning and got the #3 egg sandwich on sourdough with goat cheese and bacon. Let me tell you it hit the spot! I had a great conversation with the owner, a lovely cup of coffee, and a delicious sandwich. It’s a gem hidden in plain sight! I will definitely be returning!“

“We sat at the bar for an early dinner on Saturday. My husband and I both had a beer and dinner. We are vegan so it was wonderful to have a place where we have a choice about what to order.
Vegetarian options: We were able to get vegan meals without having to remove multiple parts of the sandwiches.“

“First visit & they indicated the menu was new. Has several vegan option. Offers fresh squeezed OJ from machine. Had the Carrot Zinger juice, including carrot, ginger lime & apple. Was really good & heavy with ginger, which I love. Ordered the Forest Hash with mushrooms, leaks potatoes & peas. Replaced the eggs with curried tofu scramble.for $1.50 upcharge. I was a little apprehensive about the curry part of the scramble but ended up really liking it. Was a creamy comforting flavor. There were some reviews indicating portions were not enough, but it seems they have improved this because we were satisfied. Specials included Vegan Blueberry BBQ jackfruit sandwich and vegetable soup. I included a few pics of the menu, but a few Vegan items to note are oatmeal, scrambles, vegan chili, falafel sandwich, portabella salad (- cheese & dressing..have to ask for vegan dressing options).“

“Kipkates did a great job with grandbaby's shower cake. I took a picture of a cake, and they made it identical to the picture. I wanted a more expensive 3 tier, and they talked me into a more affordable 2 tier that turned out wonderful. It tasted delicious! Great experience!“

“Since my family moved to Indiana 5 years ago, we order El Cantarito every Friday. My husband loves the Burrito El Cantarito and the tomatillo sauce. Some of our favorites are the Fajita Nortena, shrimp cocktail, jalapeños poppers(bacon wrapped), grilled shrimp tacos, quesadillas. Never had a menu item we didn't like so far. We have tried all the other Mexican restaurants in the area, and none of them compare. The only thing I wish they could change is to have more parking spaces. On a Friday night, they are so popular, it is sometimes hard to find a parking space.“

“We had a great dinner at Olive Garden Monday evening! The food was good, service was good and we were able to enjoy the conversation. The only things that could have made it any better was the chicken could have been cook a little less for the chicken parmigiana ( it was too done, dry, and hard to cut) and more toppings could have been put on the salad in the first serving so we didn’t have to ask for them.“

“I randomly chose this restaurant as a meet up spot for friends who enjoy Thai food. Found just a spot off of Route 30 in Merrillville, I was so happy with the experience. Outside it looks like it was once a different restaurant but inside transports you into an absolutely lovely dining room. I had my go to Tofu pad Thai. I had been warned that their spice level may be higher than the average American version of Thai. No problem for me. It was delicious. Too many places make this dish overly sweet and this had that great balance of sweet, salty and sour. Our table also enjoyed various fried rice dishes, potstickers and a panang curry. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was excellent. Our waiter did a great job making sure wedding had time to order. It is a small restaurant with a small staff but our food timing and service were spot on. I definitely would go back and I found a new “happy place.”“

“Dining in at Chili's just isn't what it used to be. We were pleased with the food and our service. A male server, who was simple yet efficient in his care of his tables. We came on a weekday for a late lunch. But the ambiance was so blah. Employees were having sidebar conversations, diners were speaking loudly and inappropriately. Meanwhile, others were on cell phones having conversations, and others were playing videos on phones without earbuds. There was just a lot going on. I'll definitely do takeout moving forward, but won't dine in.“
