I loved La Mex my entire time living in Richmond. Their authenticity and comfortable low-key dining atmosphere (not during covid) makes them a wonderful lunch/dinner stop. Their burritos are incredibly - big fan of breakfast burrito with green sauce!! Also they have a nice selection of grocery products!
The burritos are straight 🔥!!! Without a doubt, the best burritos I've ever, truly, had in my life. You order it, they make it. Fresh, delicious, and authentic. 4 stars on atmosphere only because it's a touch small, but I wouldn't mind standing to eat here!! If I'm going to Richmond during meal time, I will undoubtedly be here.
