“Doug was patient, cordial, very attentive. My mom, 96, has not been out for a meal in 5 yrs. Doug made this a pleasant experience for the 4 of us. My wife wanted seafood not steak. So we ordered her the seafood crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp. Crab legs tasted like they were frozen for a long time, the lobster was Tuff. Shrimp was good in garlic butter. I had a steak. With mushrooms. Do your self a favor ask what the price for any specials . DON’T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE. “Food, so good I will ride a mobility scooter 10 miles an hour for a length of a half a mile in the cold, blistering wind to receive my nourishment from the Cedar Lake kitchen. Staff tremendously helpful and friendly, making me feel at home. It’s where family and friends meet.“

Stumbled on this eatery a few years ago while traveling from Kentucky to IL and it has become a staple and traditional visit. Perfect crust with good texture and bite with an amazing crunch at the end. Fresh toppings and perfectly browned cheese. Got a large sausage and pepperoni with half green pepper and onion and they load it up. The sauce is more of a savory sauce which pairs perfectly with the saltiness of the proteins and sweetness of the veggies. Will absolutely be back for more. 10/10 for me !!!!!“

“Always check hours online - and watch your step when you walk in the front door. There are a ton of food items on this menu - including a refrigerated section for soup, frozen pierogies, and there are other salads and desserts.

You do get a discount if you pay in CASH.

I tried some pierogis - potato and sweet cheese. They appear to be fried as they are a bit crunchy, but I like them like that. They are pretty full pierogis. You can order them frozen to go home and cook on your own - or have them cooked to order.

I also got the order of polish sausage w/kraut and some fries. The polish sausage is snappy and the kraut is great. The bun I could do without, but I just removed it and ate on it's own. The fries were salty with a mix of crispy and soggy ones.

I will definitely be back to try more options and more pierogis!

I love the seasonality of menu and plethora of interesting options. Most recently we enjoyed the Wagyu Albondiga, Pork Tostadas, Chicken Skewers with Blueberry Salsa, Filet with Winter Squash, Potatas Bravas, and the Fried Plantains. The flavors were bright and complex and absolutely delicious! For dessert, we had the tres leches and the coconut creme brule which was so uniquely plated and tasted absolutely divine. Provecho is our favorite date-night and special occasion spot. I can't recommend it enough!“

She brought us extra dipping sauces, was very timely, remembered us, was extremely kind, checked on us several times, brought us free samples of her beer recommendations (based off of our personal taste!); I can’t say enough about her! “Holy smokes. What an amazing taco place and went here for it the first time because my boss said that it was a Pretty good little taco joint, he said you'll probably only be able to eat 2. And I said I've never been able to only 2 tacos in my life. I'm 6'2 300 pounds, they didn't have a 2 Taco dinner so I bought the 3 taco dinner with rice and beans. And these tacos were beautiful, you were allowed to get chorizo and steak on the taco, and it was so full of meat I could only eat 2!!! he was right. , do yourself a favor and stop at this place. It'll be worth your time, and the prices are great!!!!“
