“This restaurant was a 10/10. We had the rare chance to enjoy a date night, and we had the most amazing time. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was superb. We’re visiting South Bend this week, and it’s Restaurant Week—so we opted for the blind tasting menu.
We were hesitant at first since we usually like to know what we’re going to eat, but we’re so glad we kept the reservation and went. Their wine list is also spectacular. We had the La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 (2015), which was absolutely delicious; we recommend having it decanted about 40 minutes before drinking. We also had a couple of burnt honey rye Old Fashioneds, which were fantastic.”

“A little (word used intentionally) gem of a pun. The landlord stopped for a chat despite the place being packed for the Thursday night local Irish musicians jam. I counted five fiddles, six wind instruments and string instrument I did not recognize and two of the Irish drums held on the left hand. Quite the blast. Only thing that would have improved the place was a decent IPA, but I'm from Seattle so spoiled in that regard.”

“My family traveled from Chicago to South Bend this weekend to pick up our service dog for my 5 year-old Autistic son. While the experience was amazing, my son struggled a bit with the trip, as he is very much a person of habit! He woke up Sunday morning asking for a cheeseburger. We scrambled to figure out where we could possibly get a cheeseburger at 8am, and we were excited to see a Burger King near our hotel. We packed up 4 kids and a service dog and headed over. We were quickly and kindly informed that lunch was not served until 11. I told the cashier I had an autistic kiddo in desperate need of a cheeseburger, and asked if she knew anywhere in the area I could get one. Another employee heard my situation and with no hesitation, swooped in said she will make him a cheeseburger. This woman went completely out of her way to help my son. She had a burger cooked and ready to go in minutes. She refused my money as I went to pay for it. When I thanked her profusely, she put her hand over her heart and told me so sincerely, “She understands”. Thank you to this wonderful woman for her kindness and compassion!”

I was 4 or 5 cars back in line and I don’t think I was in line for more than a couple minutes. Sandwich and coffee were great and the staff were extremely friendly, professional and efficient. This will undoubtedly be a Saturday morning staple for me on my way to work. Thank you and keep up the great work!”

South Bend isn't exactly the easiest place to get super high grade fish to and they do it very well. They are by far the best Sushi in South Bend. “Great contemporary modern style bar/lounge in the heart of Downtown South Bend. The interesting light fixtures and chill vibe make this a fun place to hangout and order a few drinks. There are board games you can play as well as a pool table and if you are lucky you can catch some live music. My wife and I love this place and as a bonus you can catch a live comedy show right in the same building. The only thing keeping this place from five stars are the prices as it's a hotel bar which means inflated prices and unfortunately as good as the food looks I cannot leave a review because I have not tried the food. They have four beer choices on tap usually with one eccentric flavor when we went it was Mango Wheat (Delicious by the way) and the bar tenders were very friendly with quick service, I highly recommend you check this place out!!”

The food was good and we always love the atmosphere. I was really looking forward to trying the flight of mimosas. It started at 10, we arrived at 10:15 and by 10:25 they told us they were out of flights. There were still at least 5 tables and more bar seats open. Then 20 minutes later we saw people getting mimosa flights. I ended up ordering the mimosa bar which was too much champagne for me and they gave a very small carafe of orange juice. (Barely enough for 2-3 drinks) If you are having a brunch you should plan accordingly. I will be back but I hope things like this get figured out.”

The bartender was amazing and delightful, as was the gentleman at the starbucks. Overall, this has to be one of the best hotels in the area. “Visiting South Bend and this place was across the street from my hotel so I decided to try it. While standing there looking at the menu and trying to two decide what to get another customer told me I should try the ribs. So I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and they were absolutely amazing! The sauce was delicious and the meat was just falling off the bone. They came with fries coleslaw and French bread as well and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend. I would like to go back and try some other menu items.”

“This restaurant was a 10/10. We had the rare chance to enjoy a date night, and we had the most amazing time. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was superb. We’re visiting South Bend this week, and it’s Restaurant Week—so we opted for the blind tasting menu.
We were hesitant at first since we usually like to know what we’re going to eat, but we’re so glad we kept the reservation and went. Their wine list is also spectacular. We had the La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 (2015), which was absolutely delicious; we recommend having it decanted about 40 minutes before drinking. We also had a couple of burnt honey rye Old Fashioneds, which were fantastic.”
