“This restaurant was a 10/10. We had the rare chance to enjoy a date night, and we had the most amazing time. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was superb. We’re visiting South Bend this week, and it’s Restaurant Week—so we opted for the blind tasting menu.

We were hesitant at first since we usually like to know what we’re going to eat, but we’re so glad we kept the reservation and went. Their wine list is also spectacular. We had the La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 (2015), which was absolutely delicious; we recommend having it decanted about 40 minutes before drinking. We also had a couple of burnt honey rye Old Fashioneds, which were fantastic.“

“Despite my unwillingness to admit that anything good can come from Indiana (hah!), I did in fact really enjoy my experience here! The food was good and the atmosphere was fantastic. It felt like stepping into a traditional Irish pub —something I've never experienced so authentically anywhere outside of Ireland. Loved the shared tables (an opportunity to make friends), and the live band (the music was great).“

“The service was attentive and communicated kindly. Answered all of our questions with care. Food was very good and cooked well. Our table had skillets and burgers including coffee, O.J. and a soft drink. I was very pleased to find out they have flavored creamer for your coffee. Everyone was happy and full afterwards. The name of this dinner has some history to it. They are more than happy to share the story with you. Reminds me of the hidden gems my grandmother took me to as a little boy! Absolutely must visit.“

“Recommendations:
•Steak po’boy breakfast sandwich- I don’t know if it was because I was starving but this sandwich was so good! The bread was so soft and had shaved steak with cheese had lots of flavor. The combination was delicious! Of course, I used their Louisiana hot sauce for some spice. Aaaand no meal is complete without some sweetness…
•Beignets: doughy goodness with a good amount of powdered sugar. 3 to an order. They are honestly so filling I would say 1/2 of 1 is good if you just wanted a taste. Especially if you are already full. My son & I shared 1 piece and took the rest back to the hotel.
•s’mores Latte was delish (if you like sweet coffee)

We went around 10:30am and as you can see it was not very busy. Plenty of seats available. They had a corner that looks like it’s for live music! All around really cute and cozy. I bet it’s great at night!

The only con is probably the bathroom. It’s shared with other establishments and you need a key but not a big deal at all.“

“Their normal dishes are tasty and delicious - but nothing overly spectacular. Their sushi is very good for the area. South Bend isn't exactly the easiest place to get super high grade fish to and they do it very well. They are by far the best Sushi in South Bend. The lunch value is incredible, $12 for 3 sushi rolls with soup and salad. You simply can't beat the quality and price.“

“Great upmarket burger spot near Notre Dame. We ate here twice during our visit to campus. Good food and easy to access. It's on Eddy Street just a few doors down from the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. There is a parking garage nearby with free two-hour parking. Burgers are all great, though if you don't want to rare a hamburger, ask for it medium well. I personally enjoyed the Burger Snack ... it's a smaller burger and just the right amount for lunch.“

“Good food here can be steep but great sushi overall, from someone who frequents Chicago often and gets very fresh sushi, Woochi offered fresh fish and good tastes. My significant other often comes here as well and he doesn’t really eat sushi so there are options for everyone!“

“Amazing food and service! Burgers were cooked to perfection, fries were real potato and the jalapeño poppers are to die for! Great flavor and just the right amount of heat. Service was professional and extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to grab food while out of town for work!“

“I would recommend Ironhand for some events but I don’t think they plan for some things. We went to their brunch and bingo this morning which was nice. The food was good and we always love the atmosphere. I was really looking forward to trying the flight of mimosas. It started at 10, we arrived at 10:15 and by 10:25 they told us they were out of flights. There were still at least 5 tables and more bar seats open. Then 20 minutes later we saw people getting mimosa flights. I ended up ordering the mimosa bar which was too much champagne for me and they gave a very small carafe of orange juice. (Barely enough for 2-3 drinks) If you are having a brunch you should plan accordingly. I will be back but I hope things like this get figured out.“

Genuinely the best sushi I’ve ever eaten in my life. I was so impressed with the craftsmanship of the sushi chef. It tasted even better than it looked. Bathrooms are extremely clean. Service was unbelievable. The lady that waited us was extremely nice. If I lived in South Bend, I would eat here at least 4-5 times a week. I’m left speechless!“

“Good atmosphere, good food. Nashville Hot Tenders has perfect amount of breading and the sauce was outstanding. Soft pretzel sticks were baked to perfection, wonderful beer cheese and spicy mustard. Service was outstanding! Will definitely make a return trip.“

“Kody Jordan and Kris all were wonderful and had good energy and Kris made my pizza BEAUTIFUL. Glove change because of my gluten allergy! Everyone was very sweet! It was a beautiful pizza and so delicious! Blaze always does me right with my gluten allergy needs!
