“What a great little store! They really pack a bunch of quality stuff into a small space. The service always comes with a smile. I was surprised at how many quality products they carry in a small town shop. Oh, and don't forget the ice cream and daily lunch specials. One of our favorite "mom n pops" shops.”
“Wonderful small town meeting place. Retro but very clean. New extra dining room space gives the whole restaurant room to breath. Food was excellent. Friday Fish Special is lightly battered. The KENTUCKY PIE MUST NOT BE ”
“I had a salad with steak. The steak was very tender and cooked perfectly! The lettuce, however, was in four inch chuncks. The veggies all had to be cut down to bite sized pieces. I asked them to add a boiled egg and make a dressing out of sour cream, lemmon, and herbs. They served my salad and said they didn't have any eggs boiled, which they could have done by the time our whole party was served. They brought me a dish of sour cream with one quarter slice of a lemon. I then asked for a bowl of lemons and squeezed them all and added mustard, salt, and pepper that was on my table to make my own dressing. I feel like I paid for a meal I had to do half the work for to eat. The servers were all very sweet.”
“As I come into the door they were mopping they were very polite asked me how I was doing and gave her my order asked me if I wanted it toasted or not what kind of cheese how I wanted it done whole nine yards even asked if I wanted it initialed so I can tell them apart which was awesome it was clean there but there veggies were all about out but it's probably because they haven't refilled them just at yet price was more then I wanted to spend but the food is good and they do offer online orders too and they were at a black olives lettuce was awesome but the tomatoes didn't seem that fresh and the doctor paper was low on syrup but besides that it was good”
“This is a plant-based ice cream store. Not really a restaurant. The "ice cream" is really good! Not wholly creamy because there's no dairy. Some products have a coconut base.⚠️Some products are nut-based. So watch for that if necessary! The pastry looked delicious but I didn't try those this time. My daughter says they are good!FYI items can be a bit $$$.$13 for a pint of plant-based ice cream.Over $3 for a scoop.Very worth it for a treat once in a while, I think!Vegetarian options: I think most, if not all, products are vegetarian. But I suggest calling the store for more information.Dietary restrictions: Definitely watch for nut allergies! Other than that, I'd call the store for more information.Parking: What the info line says: " street parking"Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids!Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair could get around the store. I can't remember if there's a step into the store or not.”
“Cute place with great coffee. The baked goods are amazing. Monster cookies and chocolate cappuccino muffins are some of my favorites. They serve real pumpkin chai all year long which is delicious. I love that it has long hours and a cute little boutique with fun clothes for sale. One of my favorite coffee shops in the area.”
“Was in there on a Friday and a Saturday night the Friday night was the Why Store I have not seen them in concert in almost 20 years they sounded great love the little bar the owens really gotta go on.”
“A quality bakery is a bit of a rarity, it's wonderful that we have one in Columbia CityThe donuts might seem a bit on the pricier side, but they're very good, probably the best donuts I've ever had, and definitely large enough to split with a friend... so it's really not that bad of a dealHighly recommend if you're in Columbia city on a Wednesday or Saturday morning”
“Great hot dogs, friendly serviceParking: Parking is on the city street (free)Kid-friendliness: Mural on the wall is kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: It is ground level with no steps. Seating is counter stools or booth only aisleway is narrow and would be difficult for wheelchairs. Door threshold would be difficult for wheelchairs.”
“Really enjoyed the lemon ice cream. They had lots of flavors to choose from! So glad there's still an ice cream shop here. Was back in town for my high school reunion and had to stop in!”
“Love the polite waitreses and the service and all with a colts/ nascar theme to take in while wait for your meal and as your eating.Parking: Always plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Kids menuWheelchair accessibility: State standard”
“Super cute cafe with some unique and traditional options for entrees, sides, and drinks! They didn't skimp on the sausage for the biscuits and gravy, the 1/2 order was really good and super filling. Good service and decent prices too! Just an FYI, we were looking for an older single building as shown in the of the photos, this cafe was actually in one of the buildings on the courthouse square!”
“Super nice waitress. I got the tenderloin sandwich with fries. The tenderloin pretty good size and the fries were seasoned with a special seasoning which was good.”
“We had a party of 20 people and the waitress was excellent, the atmosphere lively and not one complaint about the food we ordered. Just wish I could give them 10 stars plus 2 thumbs up.”
“Now, this is an absolute gem of a place in downtown Columbia City! If you've been to Bimi Bistro in Fort Wayne, you'll find much of the menu is nearly identical. However, Tokyo has a wide selection of sushi, the restaurant interior is larger, the vibe is magnified, and the portion sizes are larger. The tempura breading also has a tad more crunch and seasoning than Bimi Bistro (which we also love!). The service was also impeccable. If you're passing through CC, Tokyo Restaurant is a *must stop* location. I'd even say it's worth the drive all by itself.”
“Always a great time! The food is very well prepared, the staff is always friendly and the entertainment is great. I had the Delmonico steak with cottage cheese and a salad. This is one of my favorite places to go.”
“Love the atmosphere, very much like that it's not a regular "bar," but more of a friendly place with food & adult beverages. LOVE that it's an easy walk from where I live!”
“I'm a regular there and I don't know when people who left negative reviews ate there but Mr. Dave's is a treasure in North Manchester. They are known for their tenderloins but they grind their own hamburger and can make "real" bacon extra crispy. You know how you get that tiny bacon on fast food burgers and it's like pulling an earthworm out when you bite it? At Mr. Dave's Sharon or Lucinda will cook you up a rightous real hamberburger with some real damn bacon on it. ? And the broasted chicken in addicting. I actually saw Mr. Dave himself eating there and ask about the broasted chicken versus KFC chicken. In both cases, it's about the pressure cooking or "broasting" process. You will have to wait 15 minutes but you will get hot, fresh chicken like grandma just cooked it and gave you a hug. They have two different families and other great staff that run the place now. And they make homemade potato and chicken salad to die for. I'm trying to convince them to make biscuits and cornbread but they won't listen. ? Mr. Dave's is worth the visit.”
“Great food and generous portions. Prices are very competitive. We've been here several times and will return.Parking: Lots of parking in front and behind restaurant.”
“This place is an absolute GEM, and everyone working there is so kind and helpful. Great coffee, great soup, awesome antiques and handmade items, a must-stop on your road trip!”
“Nice casual place to get some hand tossed pizza , breadsticks, salads and more. You can dine or carry out. The staff was young, but very friendly, and professional. They also stayed on top of clearing and cleaning tables.”
“Quaint little bar, service was not so good, the cook complained about making breakfast food when we ordered, bartender shared the information with us, and he also didn't bring toast with our food. It was a nice place as far as bars go, and open 24hrs, so that's convenient.Parking: We were able to pull into the lot and right into a spot no problem.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is wheelchair accessible.”
“I had the cowboy burger and oh. My. Gosh. It was super juicy, cooked to perfection, and the fries were crispy and fresh. The staff was super friendly! The owner came to the tables to ask each patron how their experience was to give that personal touch. Make the trip and have a great experience combined with great food and support small business!”
“The Inn is one of the few places in North Manchester that hasn't changed a whole lot. The food is delicious no matter if you are in the mood for a good burger or steak and ribs, it is all cooked to order and absolutely delicious. The drinks are pretty basic, if you want something specific just let any of the bartenders know what is in it and they usually will make it... A nice hidden gem tucked away off the main street that had been unaffected by time and modern day technology.....Parking: You can park out front on Walnut street or out back behind the building in their parking lotKid-friendliness: Children can come in and eat as well, but they can not sit up at the bar and they can not be in the building after 9pm I believe”
“In the past we have veen very disappointed at this dairy queen. The bun was hot and it was clear things had been microwaved. The fries were soggy instead of crispy and it just wasn't very quality. Although customer service was good it didn't make us want to go back. But the kids wanted to go today and we were pleasantly surprised and loved every bite of our food! The fries were fresh and crisp and not soggy. The hamburgers we had were clearly fresh and not microwaved. Everything was top tier! I would recommend them now and look forward to returning in the future. Whatever changes they've made to make these changes, keep it up!”
“Always friendlynand great food! Carlos is an awesome server and our favorite!! Never had something we didn't like here. Full bar if you're looking for a drink!Parking: Easy in and out parking lotKid-friendliness: High chairs available for kids or infant seats. Room to put kids at the table. Always family friendly!”
“Very adorable local Cafe, I always see the same lady when I come in and she's so sweet, food is great and the atmosphere is so cute, plus wandering through the antiques after eating never gets old. Highly recommended.”
“I took my son here we just moved to pierceton the waitress was super sweet very friendly took us to the train gave us a history lesson on the town and made us feel welcomed”
“I can't say much about the atmosphere because I didn't go in, but the drive-thru line moved well, and my online order was ready when I got to the window. The sandwich was good, and I would go back.”
“CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!! If I could give 10 stars ⭐️ I would! We brought some friends and all of us were amazed at the food and drinks! We can’t wait to come back again and again!!And the owners! It’s like you’ve known them for years! All are welcome, even your dog! Love it!”
