We were really looking forward to getting sushi tonight. I walked in with my family which includes my twins. The host had a major attitude and refused to seat us. Furin Japanese Restaurant & Bar in a small town in Indiana offers a variety of Japanese dishes in a welcoming atmosphere that many say reminds them of a bar/restaurant in Osaka. The restaurant features attentive service, with multiple servers ensuring prompt clearance of dirty dishes and drink refills. The staff is known to be very kind, helpful, and polite, creating a positive experience. The menu includes popular items like sushi, with favorites such as the Godzilla and spicy salmon roll noted for their unique flavors and crunch. The ramen, especially the pork spicy ramen, has received praise as a spicy dish worth trying. The sake is delicious, and the restaurant offers a wide variety of drinks and a great cocktail menu. The music adds to the enjoyable ambiance, making visits more memorable. Vegetarian options like veggie fried rice and miso soup are cooked perfectly and are not greasy. Many families appreciate the kids options and the wheelchair accessibility. Prices are considered fair, and the restaurant is open on Sundays and Mondays, with street parking available. Despite some mixed comments about freshness and saltiness in certain dishes, Furin remains a popular and convenient spot for good food and friendly service.
