Let's start with the positives. The service here is always good and I really like their bread. The bottom line here though is that this is like an Applebee's that serves Cajun / Creole food that is pre-cooked at another location, frozen and heated up as needed. The other negative is that the choice of food isn't like you would get at a proper Cajun restaurant. It isn't terrible by any means but it is not gourmet food either.

I live in Indiana and red beans and rice is just not really appreciated by Hoosiers. The last time I had good red beans and rice was at Mother's in New Orleans. Well, to be fair, Popeye's is okay at it, but it's not the same thing and Zat's is good any way you look at it. They added Andouille sausage to their version, and that was nice. I am not sure I can give five stars for casual dining but let me say they are as close as you can get. They bring your food on actual plates: the kind that need to be washed. We were coming up 30 from Ohio and needed an good but cheap dinner. We decided on Yats and we were not disappointed. I got a mixed plate of Chili Cheese Etouffee and the Drunken Chicken.
