Marcela's Cakes Bakery and Café is a cute little bakery that is a hidden gem in town. The shop has great pastries, delicious everyday items, and a lot of sweet and savory baked goods. The double chocolate chip cookie is chocolatey, super crunchy and ok. The beef empanadas are flavorful with bright fresh sauce, and the cilantro and cheese empanada is super delicious and very flavorful. Cinnamon rolls have cream cheese frosting that isn’t too sweet and add a nice tangy element. The café also has gluten free bakery items arepas, pan de bono, and almojábana that are corn or yucca based. The ladies who work there are very sweet, passionate about their job and made the experience great. Overall the place is lovely, cute, and highly recommend for friends who loves unique Colombian foods.
