“I love this little family owned restaurant. The food has always been delicious and reminds me of family reunions (our family is full of great cooks) and Sundays at my grandma's house. And then there's the pie! I highly recommend Grandma Vera's to anyone, especially those who want a great meal while supporting small businesses and local families.“

“From the street, Kenny's Snacks Cafe is less than impressive. Once you've stepped through door, you have entered into the realm of the American dive bar. No need for an extensive drink menu, as Domestic beers in cans are the flavor of the day. Take in and savor the vintage back bar, bare plank floors, everyday guy atmosphere. There are no table menus or waitresses badgering you. The menu is on an old dated sign behind the bar, unchanged since the last time I was here 15 years ago. You can find the typical deep fried staples of french fries and onion rings. But mushrooms and poppers also have there place on the menu. But the real star is the hamburger. 1/2 pound of ground beef on a bun made simple. Simply delicious that is. Juicy with just the right amount of sear. available with bacon and or cheese. Come down to Snacks Cafe and see for yourself. I know I'll be back“

“While the pizza we ordered was good …..there was no menu to be found anywhere. The website on the Facebook page had a menu only to be told when we called that wasn’t the menu. No menu to be had at store. You could take a picture of the menu at the cash register… Probably would have ordered more if we knew what they had to offer.“

“George's in the HMSU is a must for any Sycamore! Freshmen should definitely become familiar with this establishment - I promise it will become a beloved favorite throughout your time at State! The food is excellent - the prices are affordable - the service is amazing. George is one of the most amazing people I have ever met - my oldest children started at ISU in 2013 - George remembered me and my children when I started at ISU in 2015 to finish my degree - my children and I can't say enough to express how much we love George's - the food and the people - one of the best memories from our time in Terre Haute ❤️“

“I have ordered from Gingersnaps a few times on DoorDash but I went in person today and I had the best experience! The owner knew about my gluten/dairy allergy and was so accommodating! She brought me a gluten free roll to try and it was absolutely amazing. The service is amazing and so is the food. I will definitely keep going back!“

“Today was our lucky day! We arrived on a Saturday, the first day this season they're offering lunch on that day. We were looking for something healthy and delicious as we passed through Terre Haute and this cafe fit the bill 100%. The place is spotless and decorated so cute, two rooms with some home goods for sale in the second room. We ordered the Glow Bowl, the Southwest Chicken BLT and an Emerald Crème latte. All three of those items were flawless. The latte (pistachio) not too sweet, the food items were wonderful. The folks who work here couldn't be nicer as well; we talked with the nicest lady who was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this cafe!“
