After a hiccup regarding delivery while ordering on the app, Rihanna went above and beyond to take care of me and see to it the issue was resolved and I was fed. It was refreshing to see this high level of customer service and kindness. Rihanna, you are appreciated!
This place is turned into a hit or miss. The last two I’ve got there has nothing on it and orange tomato a little lettuce, two olives, no onion, very dry. I’m trying to explain to these kids, but if you start doing this, we’re gonna lose our Schlotzsky’s. It’s a small town People will not come back and you’ll be out of business. Derby just can’t seem to keep good places to eat.

Schlotzsky's Deli serves a variety of food including sandwiches, soup, and pizza. The pizza is a personal favorite for some because they homemake the dough, and it always has enough toppings and warms up nicely. The soup is always warm and delicious, even when ordered through the drive through. Catering orders with a variety of sandwiches are done perfect and ready on time, with plenty of condiments and pickles. The weekday crew is great and very friendly, and the food is always fresh and tastes great. However, some customers are disappointed that they stopped making their dark rye bread, which was the reason many visited for over 40 years. The service is usually great, though the drive through can be slow, and wait times have been an issue, with some customers waiting so long that others drove away. Bathrooms are not very clean but also not bad. At one location, only two employees were working at 5 pm, but they were constantly moving, communicating, and trying to get orders out, going above and beyond despite dealing with patient and impatient people.
