“They were so good. We had a Valentine event with 70 -80 people. We ordered the fettuccini with chicken alfredo and it was delicious. We also ordered the penne with red meat sauce and it was also delicious. There was more than enough for everyone. “First time here and it really surprised me. The lemon chicken was super crispy and full of flavor, the fried rice was fresh and tasty, and the egg roll was golden and crunchy. Big portions for the price, way better than I expected. Everything looked great in the box, and the staff member I spoke to was very polite. I’ll definitely be back. “Me and my girlfriend decided to pay a visit to Fried Rice on E. Pawnee. Its my first time coming here in over a decade. I ended up going with combo fried rice which came with bits of red pork, tiny shrimp, and chicken chunks. Back in the early 2000's if I remember correctly, everything was made to order. But today, they already had the fried rice put together. Everything was still warm though. Obviously it wasn't cooked too long before I got there. I'll have to say, the fried rice was just decent. Nothing too special about it. But the egg rolls were delicious. They were stuffed with meat, noodles and cabbage with a bunch of black pepper. I throughly enjoyed them. There was also a choice of canned pop that came with the meal. I went with grape. All in all, for seven dollars, you can't beat that price for what you got.“

“We have been going to Dempsey‘s pretty much once a week for more than 10 years. The service has always been spectacular (Reggie is a legend!), but the food … is usually great, but sometimes there are weeks where the quality tanks. My mother always asks for a well done burger (please forgive her) and it came out medium rare tonight, even though our server has her requests memorized perfectly and I’m certain he put her order in correctly. The fries were at their best a number of years ago. Since then the quality has gone up and down. Tonight they were pretty much inedible - they looked under cooked, but were as hard and dry as four day old fries reheated in an air fryer set at 150. Ugh. We will continue our decade long tradition with hope that there will be a renewed focus on the food quality!“

“The food was delicious! We had the bruschetta as an appetizer. I had the bacon turkey avocado Sami, and my husband had the French dip! All beautifully delicious and the presentation was incredible! The only criticism I have was that our glasses of wine sat at the bar while our server walked around setting tables. He brought our wine after he brought our appetizer. Our server did have, in my opinion, inappropriate tattoos (satanic goat and 666) on his arm that were clearly visible when he handed us our food. It was pretty distasteful, but nothing to do with the food or service. We'll be returning despite the criticisms :)“

“I would classify this as more of a Tex-Mex style restaurant but having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors!

The salsa is served mild and hot but the hot is more of a mild-medium. Ask for the spicy one made with jalapeños. It was fantastic and you will not be disappointed!!

Hubby ordered the burritos and they are served with a very delightful queso sauce ontop. Beef and chicken - both were great.

I had the sopes and although the chile verde was quite flavorful, the masa was super hard around the edges which were too hard to even cut with the steak knife (really!) Once I removed the outter ring the rest of the cake was fine and had great flavor.

Our server was kind. There was no wait for a table which I did find unusual for a Friday night. I was not complaining at all though - speedy service is great when a restaurant isn’t slammed. lol

Overall, I’d give it a whirl again and maybe try something new next time.“
