“Hidden gem on S Main - off the beaten path technically. Owner and staff are great! Food is delicious! Every time I’m back in my home town to visit family this is a must. I recommend forgetting your “diet” and just enjoying great food cooked like it should be when you go here. See you again! “Very good food. Love the fries and onion rings. It's no longer a Dairy Queen though, we came there thinking it was still a Dairy Queen and it's not. Very similar though, it is now called Slugger's and is baseball themed. Be careful on the tall seats, you can very easily fall getting off of them. They don't have a sign anymore so it's not easy to tell it's no longer a DQ without walking in or looking in the windows. They do have ice cream cakes and ice cream. Again it's very similar to Dairy Queen and is pretty similar in pricing as well. Pretty good food though and highly recommended, especially if you're going across the street to watch some baseball.Parking: About 12 parking spaces right by the building.“
“Honestly, this is one of the best Burger Kings I've had. The fries are always hot and burgers are good. The service is fast and the servers are polite and courteous. They've never gotten our order wrong. I've never dined inside, only the drive-thru.“
“I like sonic, but ultimately has decreased the excellent food. The fry are cold, and the burger is low rate. Since all the lawsuit in fast food restaurants, seems that they cannot cook and give you the food hot, it need to be cold. Thing that is disgusting. O well! This is why the restaurants closed them. “This has been the most accurate (correct order) McDonald's that I have ever visited and after multiple visits and many large orders, they have kept up that constancy of accuracy. Although there has been the occasional missing item which they have remedied immediately when notified. Their service is always very fast; whether in the lobby, drive-through, or mobile pick-up. They have a second parking lot and they invite buses (and RVs to park here).“
“Just moved to Augusta and had to give Miller 5 a try. As we were trying to decide what to order, the lady that helped us at the window, was very insightful and gave us a run down of the menu. Truly a sweet lady! We ordered 2 cheeseburgers w/ fries, a pizza burger, and 2 limeades and everything turned out amazing. This place is a gem within Augusta! We'll be back again in the near future!“
“My sales team and I were working in town for a few days and we’re all so glad we chose to eat here. We eat at a lot of different restaurants around Kansas, and this is one of the best small town diners I have ever been to. It’s clean, the owners and staff are super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere and decor is great and the food is so good. I had The Reuben sandwich for Lunch the first day, and it was built right on the grill. ?. We went back a second day. I had the chicken, apple pecan salad and a freshly made bierock that was sooooo good. Highly recommend If you are ever in Towanda Kansas, you eat at Thunderbird's.“
“This place is really cool and rural America, a.k.a. Augusta, Kansas.Think of the movie pulp fiction and the diner in that movie called Jack rabbit slims . With that in mind this place remind you of it he doesn’t have a big dance stage, but it does have a really eclectic and cool feel to it.This place has an ample number of tables and booths, which happen to have white vinyl over them, which make it feel like some kind of 1957 Chevy.From what I could see that even have out rental rooms for events and this place really has a cool vibe and you should do that.The menu is just right on price and size. There’s not too many items but there’s plenty to give you a wide selection. A couple of us in our group had the taco salad, which really was very nice for taco salad.If you’re in Augusta, Kansas, and you want a cool place with a great feeling friendly people and good food this is definitely the place to go.The sign outside says world, famous, and this thing could be franchise so someday it might be.“

“The burgers were as good as homemade. A good selection of food was offered on the menu. The lady that took our order was very friendly and informative. We ate in their outdoor area. It was clean and nice. There were bubble makers and sidewalk chalk for children to entertain them. We live in Wichita and we will be returning customers.“
