“The famous burger joint of College Hill, in Clifton Square on Douglas Street. Here is long time contender for best burger in Wichita, and I would put it in my top five in town. If I would have written this review based on previous experiences then it would have been top notch. Unfortunately I broke my streak of amazing visits with this last one. My kid’s burger looked great but I went with the House Waygu and felt it was ruined by the toppings that did not seem fresh at all or they just don’t work with that burger, and strongly suggest ditching everything but the burger itself when ordering this menu item. The meat was cooked medium rare, the bun was phenomenal as always, and we made a meal of it this trip but will also look for a rebound in service our next time in. The staff seemed unwelcoming to our visit and my drink was forgotten about for far too long even though it was a slow time for business, and no beers were available on tap at that time which was a letdown. However, I can remember quite a few burgers being amazing at Dempsey’s and I guarantee the truffle fries will be a hit for anybody in the family. I will continue to recommend this burger pub and will be back in spring to hopefully get this place its five stars.“
“Nice little burger joint, the edges of the burger were crispy while the center was soft and juicy. The bun was well toasted, although my burger was very greasy which saturated the bun making it soggy after a few minutes. They seemed to be busy so I suspect that contributed to how greasy the burger was, that being said, I did not dislike it, but it would have made the experience a little better if it wasn't so greasy. The chicken nuggets were very crispy and juicy and the spicy ranch had the right amount of heat to make it great. Unfortunately the tots were nothing special and had a bit of a burnt flavor, they do have hand made chips and fries, I would try them. I would love to give this place a second visit, hopefully the burger won't be as greasy.“

“Really good fast food it's actually like about the same price as McDonald's (which really says a lot about McDonald's nowadays lol) but the quality is so much better. Without custard I usually spend about 11 to 12 bucks for a meal with large fries, and there's actually flavor in their burgers which is quite nice for a fast food place. “One of the best Spangles in town. :) I've gone by before both during the day and at night but last night in particular I went by a little later than I would have comfortably or intentionally. While they were in the process of starting close they still welcomed me, took my order, prepared my food and were overall kind and welcoming. Also, the tots seemed to have been cooked in good/clean oil as they were light golden brown and did not have any burnt oil flavor. The restaurant could use some renovations but was overall clean. The men's bathroom was as clean as you could expect a men's bathroom to be. I will definitely return in the future and recommend it to anyone asking.Parking: There was not a lot of parking for the capacity of the restaurant, but it wasn't super busy, so I had no trouble finding a spot. If it gets busier, I would expect street parking to be necessary.“
