The best Mexican restaurant in town and quite possibly in Kansas. Been coming here since I went to college in 2001. Always good ?. Worth a trip back to liberal to get a fix.

El Amigo Chavez | Mexican offers good food and service. The Barbacoa Torta is good and comes with fries. The best chips and salsa around are light, crisp chips with flavorful medium heat salsa. The Camarones Empanizados lived up to expectation, with fresh food served in a timely manner, rich flavor, and great portion sizes. The fajitas and enchiladas also leave customers happy. The place can be kinda loud as there is no carpet or wall hangings to buffer the noise, but the price won’t break the bank for a night out. Overall, it is a good place to eat with excellent service, and customers will not leave disappointed.
