“Happy to be so close to this awesome hangout!! It is the perfect place to go for a late afternoon patio beer, a tasty pick-me-up snack, or to catch a game. They have some pretty interesting beers on tap - we tried one with gin and a bunch of strange botanicals and while we probably wouldn't order it again we do appreciate the artistry and intrigue of something we've never conceived of tasting before! They truly do live up to their experimental Lab name! The sweet and salty pretzel bites were outta this world! Crisp and hot but soft and fluffy on the inside, I'd crush a plate of these again in a second. The fries were also tasty - overall a great spot to wind down from a farmer's market run!“
“This is an excellent brewery in KC! Not only is this the first black-owned brewery in KC, but they partnered with black artists for the artwork and decor. The brewery is located inside a historic building off of Vine Street and they have a huge outside beer garden! They also have live music which is awesome. They have seating for small or big groups. We came here for an office HH and were able to enjoy the nice weather and sit large groups of people together. The staff is super nice and helpful when trying to figure out what you want to order. They also make an in house bubbly water, which I love! This is a must-try for all beer lovers and non-beer lovers as the space is so cool! They also have a bookshelf of games to enjoy while sipping on your drinks. 100% recommend!“
“This sour beer boasts a harmonious blend of tartness and complexity. Its crisp, citrusy notes dance on the palate, creating a refreshing symphony of flavors. The subtle malt undertones provide a well-balanced foundation, making it a delightful choice for those seeking a truly exceptional sour experience. Cheers to a well-crafted brew that leaves a lasting impression.“
“BKS makes the best IPAs I've ever had. Although IPAs are my favorite, they also make a variety of other beers that are just as good. It's a small, hometown feel spot with wonderful staff. They allow dogs which always brings a smile to everyone's face - they even have a Pivot Project line named after the owners sweet doggie who visits often! You've gotta stop on in!“
“Mark Robinson and his team are conclusive and their ability to direct you into which area you can develop is key. They have a keen intuition for where the market is headed and when to makes profits. they are worth listening to. Try the consultation! And never go low in your portfolio even when the Market is in dip or pump.“
“There's not question... five stars all day every day! We moved here last year and were ELATED to find out we moved within walking distance to Sandhills! The atmosphere is so chill and welcoming, it makes you want to go back week after week! The selection of beers is excellent. They always have a great range of strengths from kolsch all the way up to stouts or double IPAs. They also have great limited releases that keep us going back.“
“This place has an amazing atmosphere! That’s one reason to stop by, but the beer is delicious and the design (both interior and graphic) are noteworthy. I had the flight and my buddy had a seltzer. We had the fresh ipa, hazy ipa, sour, saison, and oktoberfest. Gotta say, this place is one of the best around.“
“Great tour! Very informative and interesting. They give you 2 5 oz beers along the way and then 2 more after where you get a wide variety of choices of lots of drinks. I am not a beer drinker but still had a great time. At the end I found drinks that were great and not beer. Totally worth the $10.“
“Very friendly atmosphere and super chill. Got the standard cheeseburger and definitely appreciated the fact it wasn't super greasy and just tasty. Fries were well seasoned, pretzels were pretty decent size and the honey mustard is super delicious. Would definitely visit again.“
“Awesome beer hall with friendly vibe in an open and comfortable setting. Lovely balcony with crown center rooftops in the distance. Staff was helpful, I had several taste tests, and there was a slew and variety of beers. Light bar fare offered.“
“Yummy beers, but it’s Saturday night and there are only 4 other people in the bar with us. We’re having a good time playing cards, but if you’re looking for atmosphere, I’m not sure if this is the place for you. Kind of surprised that it isn’t busier because the beer is good, the place is clean and welcoming, lots of comfortable seating and a friendly bartender. There’s even a space for little ones to play if you were here for more of a social gathering.“
“I served in the Navy and I’ll salute this West Point grad for what he does. The name is for the red sash some leaders wear at West Point (GO NAVY!). This is good beer with a good selection. Veterans get 20% off and are asked to sign the wall. The staff is super friendly and the location is right in the middle of a stretch of breweries. Definitely a spot to go to and I recommend the Tropic Lightning (named for the 25th Infantry Division). Get on down there and drink a beer!“
“Great spot for coffee and beer! They always have a solid selection of craft lattes, teas, and seasonal drinks as well as an outstanding tap list for beer! Lots of space for groups or a great spot for studying. Highly recommended for all times of the day“
“Always great beer, the Tacos Valentina food concept inside is pretty good too. They have the newer Public House side which is open and shiny then they have the original Taproom in the back that's wooden and cosy open a few nights a week still.“
“My office had a party at Border Brewing with about 60 attendees. Eric was super easy to work with, did not slam us with huge event fees, and the bartenders were exceptional. This place isn’t your typical brewery with a choice of super hoppy IPA or 14% stout. They have great IPAs and heavier beer but they also have a wide variety of lighter beers to please anyone’s taste. Drinks were full all night and our entire group had a blast. Can’t thank these guys enough.“
“I like this micro a lot. Besides the gentleman having a bit of a laissez-faire approach to bartending, which isn't necessarily problematic, the beer itself is fantastic and I will be back. Service with a smile and this place seems large enough to host a party. I'm a big fan of places that have interesting sour/gose/fruited beers, so if that's up your alley, this is the perfect place. There are many (more popular, perhaps) breweries within direct vicinity of Nimble that don't have nearly as well thought out brews. This place checks all the boxes for me. Give it a try“
“My first time here was for a Yelp event and I had a couple of my all time favorite beers, so I had a hankering to come back for my birthday weekend. An unusual February weekend that had summer vibes, the weather was nice enough for Strange Days’s patio to be in full effect. They have flight options and I absolutely love the Hana Yori Dango, Strangeling, and Splendid Defending (also love their Scenic Trafficway but it wasn’t available this visit). Including the great music playing throughout my time here, I couldn’t have had a better time.“
“Great product! Became a fan of the Kölsch instantly, along with a few others. First time visitor, wished there were flights available to get a full spectrum but everything I tried was great! Service was a little rough. Bartender seemed displeased to answer questions on flavor profiles or little tasters…. Wasn’t a fan of the eye rolls.“
“Finally got to try Transport and really enjoyed it! I pass by it often and it typically seems to have a good crowd inside. I like the seating arrangement inside and with the weather being nice they had the window open which made it all the better. The bartender seemed excited to tell me what beers they had to offer and told me about their Mug Club which seems like a great deal. They're pretty IPA heavy currently these days it being springtime. I'm not much of an IPA guy myself but I was still in luck as their Prost! kolsch and Lake Quivira Light lager are delicious. I believe they have special deals on Thursdays and Sundays as well that you'll have to ask about. Transport is a good time!“
“Our first time here happened to coincide with a fundraiser for a local high school, so it was extremely busy. Luckily we arrived just a little before the event began and got seats at the bar. It was impressive watching the bar staff handle the rush of customers. The beers we tried were great! Will definitely be back again!“
“Awesome, German style beer in a cute beer-hall style brewery location. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. When it's cold and you sit outside, they'll give you a percentage off your bill depending on how cold it is! They've started branching off into not strictly German style beers in recent years, including some barrel aged beers. All good! Their giant pretzel is GIANT and awesome.“
“It's a pretty fun spot set just off of Johnson drive. I like that the clientele feel that they can bring their entire family here and the atmosphere doesn't seem to suffer for it. I wish they would actually serve food, but I understand that that could be quite a burden on a brewery, trying to maintain their license.“
“Was in KC for work a few weeks ago and stopped in here. The beers are cold and taste great. It has a great vibe also. I was only there long enough for two beers, but left with two new friends, three 6 packs of Fire Tree, and one 6 pack of Captin Holdens. Will definitely go back next time work calls me back to NKC.“
“The Stockyard Tap Room Brewery is my FAVORITE brewery in Kansas City. It is such a warm and friendly establishment with the best staff ever. I’ve never had unpleasant experience in the several years that I’ve been going. It’s a home away from home. If you want a nice intimate place to have a conversation and throw back a few beers this is the place to go.“
“A local brewery with big and bright tasting room. I tried 2 types of their IPA and both were low bitter, a bit unusual but tasty. It can be a totally ideal place if they would start serving food or just invite tacos truck. Without food I can afford myself max 2 drinks only“
“I dined-in with my oldest son for a guys night. We ordered a large pizza. Unfortunately while grabbing our second round of slices, half the pizza slid off of the dish onto the floor.Within 30 seconds a manager tapped me on the shoulder and said a new pie was in the oven. 10 min latter a new pizza arrived and saved the day.Pizza was great and service couldn't be any better. Total class act.“
“the service is top notch. definitely one of the best burgers in KC and chili cheese fries are off the chain. nice chill, kickback spot off of 39th with good vibes. if you're looking for a nice spot with some cool people, good food and better vibes, stop by Green Room KC“
“Incredibly prompt service. Appetizers out in less than 5 minutes. Salads about five minutes after that. Salads were quite good, both in taste and size. Excellent pizza and beer of course. Loud? Yes, just like 90% of the newer breweries and restaurants. Definitely be back for a late lunch or early dinner.“
“I love what they did with the space! Lots of good vibes. The beer was really good - tried a few different ones and liked them all. Seems like they have rotating food options from local restaurants. Will definitely be back - great to have more options in this part of OP!“
