“Lovely place and great staff”

“I know everyone raves about the burgers here, but what I find exceptional are the catfish and fried okra. The fish is fried to perfection. One day, I'll have to try it blackened. Louis is a tried and true Cajun Chef Extraordinaire proven by the freshest and tastiest beans and rice I've ever had. Also, by the okra. It's my go-to side dish for whatever I'm having.
The burgers are a little over-done for my taste. When I remember to order it on the medium to medium-rare, it's perfection!
Oh, and for you city-dwellers, the 15-20 minutes it takes to drive to Rose Hill is worth it.”

“Never have I been in a place that has been so un costumer friendly! First of all walk in the door there arguing about who is going to have to come out and serve me. They sent out the new hire, while two guys stood back there and rudely said things and when she asked for help they where telling her the wrong items to put on . They where very loud and the f bomb was thrown out a few times. I even said you should come out and help then they rudely said things will never go back !”

“We have been going to the Las Vaquitas Mexican Restaurant since Caesar and Connie recruited their family and opened their doors to Derby residents. It’s rare to find a place where the owners are in the kitchen and on the floor making sure every guest feels welcome. The food is incredible and service is professional and friendly. I thought the idea of covering the check of a few of their patrons was a sweet holiday idea. When it happened to us, we were incredibly grateful. Huge thanks to the entire staff for showing their appreciation to a couple of regular customers. Please support this LOCAL restaurant, you will not be disappointed!!!”

“I cannot praise Wichita Cake Creations enough for the quality and taste of my cake and cupcakes! At my party, I had numerous people ask me who made the cake? Even later in the week I had people still raving about the cake & cupcakes and how delicious they were! I had the last of my cake over a week after my party and it was still just as moist and delicious as the first day! The cake itself was decorated beautifully and perfectly....I gave Daevey the gist of what I wanted my cake to look like and she took my ideas and created my cake more beautifully than I could have imagined it to be, it was perfect! The cake alone will probably be one of the most memorable events of my 85th birthday...well 50 years old and 35 years sober. I paid a little more than what I would have at another baker, however, I would not have gotten the quality or the taste that I got from Wichita Cake Creations. I made NO mistake by choosing these ladies.. even though they were an hour drive away from me..they were WONDERFUL to work with and their communication went above and beyond. I am team Wichita Cake Creations all the way now!”

“Finally stopped by last night. Husband and son both got egg toast and they were great. I got the mayak egg cupbap. It was okay. But I was sad to get an over cooked fried egg and not a traditional soft to medium boiled marinated egg. It still tasted good and I will come back. But the mayak egg is not a mayak egg.”
