We have ate there before and was good. Had the buffet and it was the worst meal that I have ever had. The food was over cooked and dry plus it cost $30.00 for two buffet. I will not be eating there again!!
Arrived at 9:15 PM on a Tuesday after a long day of driving, to find Meridy’s closed. I did get one of the servers to talk with me. He said their hours are based on customer “flow.” I worked in restaurant business for a while: no restaurant ever closed early. Since they closed almost an hour early, I must provide a “do not recommend” as they did not adhere to their posted hours.
and the lounge is excellent!!...ive been here twice...the food is down-home....the service is great...the staff is great....if uve never been here...ur missing out!!

Meridy's | Restaurant & Lounge is a charming, small-town eatery that offers good, classic rural food in a clean and homey environment. The restaurant is known for its fresh-made dishes, including homemade chicken fried steaks and chicken fried chicken, as well as a great buffet and salad bar. Travelers and locals alike appreciate the friendly staff, who do an excellent job managing large groups and providing attentive service. Meridy herself is often mentioned as a welcoming presence.
The restaurant features both a dining area and a bar side, with the bar often open late enough to serve weary travelers passing through. Many reviewers praise the quality and flavor of the food, highlighting the delicious double cheeseburgers, which are juicy, crispy, and cooked to perfection—testament to the quality of local Kansas beef. Other favorites include the onion rings, loaded potato, and breakfast ribeye. Despite some occasional issues like out-of-stock items or the salad bar closing early, the overall experience is consistently positive.
People find Meridy's to be a great stop-off spot when crossing the state, especially for those seeking a hot meal after a long journey. The restaurant’s old-fashioned charm, tasty comfort food, and welcoming atmosphere make it a memorable place to enjoy a hearty meal. Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Meridy's provides a satisfying experience for travelers and locals alike.
