We are from out of town, tried a few taco places, Tacos el Viejon was the best! They have a trompo and the flavor was delicious.
Food is amazing here ! It’s full of flavor.
Tacos here are amazing! And wow, they’re quick! The packaging caught us off guard our first time and had us worried we didn’t get enough food - but nah, we opened it up and yum - so fresh, delicious corn tortillas - and a whole little packet of cilantro and onions? Yes please!!

Based on the reviews, Tacos El Viejon Shawnee is an amazing food truck with great food and super friendly staff. The selection is amazing, and the people working the truck are super kind and glad to answer any questions. Specific meals mentioned include the casabirra tacos, Birria Tacos, and Al Pastor tacos. The Birria juice is some of the best, and the Al Pastor meat is marinated just right, juicy and flavorful. The spicy salsa has a really nice kick but is not overwhelming. However, the portions could be a little bigger, and the restaurant needs to show prices, as the bill can be a surprise. Also, they charge for extra sauces, which is different from other places. Overall, it is a phenomenal gem in Shawnee, Kansas, and a place customers cannot wait to go back to.
