“We visited Grounded over the summer while on a trip from California. We were staying in a nearby town with family and they suggested we try Grounded. We love to support small and local, and this was just what we were looking for! We went with the kids one day and liked it so much, we made sure we went there once again before we left. It was out of the way of the airport, but well worth it! I tried their seasonal summer drink, I think it was called "mocha loca"....or something like that...anyways, it was so delicious! Loved the atmosphere, appreciated the exceptional service and the town was adorable. Next time we visit KC, we're definitely making a pit stop! :)”

“We came from the KC Metro area to check this place out. It seems to be a family owned establishment that the locals love. Had a great vibe to it. I had a combo plate that came with two pancakes two eggs bacon and hash browns. Everything was delicious. My wife had an omelet with hash browns and toast. She really enjoyed everything. Reminded us of the Diner in Booneville Mo. One of our favorite breakfast places. The sevice was excellent. These young girls were working very hard making sure everyone was taken care of. They must of refilled my coffee 5 times. Definitely will be returning and its was a good 35 minute drive.”

“It's a very small place but the food and service are excellent! The salsa tastes like it's freshly made. If you have never eaten there, I suggest you try it. You won't be disappointed! The staff are very friendly and take good care of you! I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Kansas! I will be making a special detour just to eat there.”

“Hosted a college party event here and I couldn't be happier with the bar and their staff. Rented out the entire place and got a classic bar upstairs with a dance club vibe downstairs. They had everything we could have wanted like special made shots, party games, and an outdoor seats to escape too.The staff were easy to communicate with and super helpful with bouncing, cleaning, and and answering any questions.The drinks were very affordable and so was the rental price.Overall I can recommend them to anyone looking for a space to host in. 10/10 will work with again. “What a wonderful experience we had! Out there for camping at MCRC and wanted to grab a dinner before heading back to the campsite. Cozy place in DeSoto, fresh and flavorful food and amazing service.. we needed to get a waiver printed out and it was already 8 pm, so requested the restaurant if they could print it for us... and like magic, the printout was at our table. “The food was fresh and delicious for being McDonald's. Considering the staff was working on Christmas Eve and still had fresh food and crazy fast finishing times I was impressed. Not to mention it seemed to be a whole family that was running the shift and they did great. Only constructive criticism I have is the lobby was a bit dirty but still impressed.”
