Chicken Wings near Edgewood

“(Tw: this is a bias review) This place is magical? The manager that sings through the kitchen is energetic every time I visit. The lobby is taken care of (most of the time) but the drive thru is slow at times. The food is a little dry or soggy (it varies every week) but the mash potato makes up for it. The sides are probably the best items on the menu beside the specials every month. For maybe some upgrades, they should clean the restrooms better, decrease the price of sides (a large side costs more than a sandwich by itself), and SALT THE FRIES !!!! Im telling yall rn, dont go to the restaurant once it hits 10. Ong it mostly smells horrible, but the food is even worse at that time. (These arent recent events, these happened throughout the year)“

“Wed, 2/28/24, Management told one of our trivia team members that she is no longer welcome because she spoke to trivia host and he felt threatened by her. She talked to host after trivia and told him she thought the questions we no longer "general knowledge" trivia. While her remarks may have been harsh, we feel she should have been warned that her behaviour would not be tolerated in the future but not forbidden to return to play trivia. Our trivia team spends 140.00 to 160.00 each Wednesday, not to mention the amount of tips the server was making (30 to 50 dollars). She also told management team that host drinks too much during trivia and they denied that. By the hosts own admission over the microphone, he has asked people to stop sending him drinks because "I'm getting drunk guys". She was told he is allowed 1 alcoholic beverage while doing trivia. WHO HAS EVER HAD A JOB WHERE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DRINK ALCOHOL?? We will probably NOT be coming back to trivia if all of our team members are not welcome. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR TRIVIA....WHICH I HAD SELECTED ORIGINALLY!!“

“Just did a to go order, I ordered a Black and Blue burger and small fries. After I get home, low and behold NO BLUE CHEESE on my burger. I expect this from a fast food chain but not this restaurant. Very disappointed. It will be quite a while before I go back. I eat at Wild Mike's once a week. How can you screw something up so easy ?!?!“

“Strong's has really good pizza. I'm a pepperoni topping fan and they do it right, even though it's not a primary menu item.

Some things to consider:

1. The $7.50 mozarella sticks were a disappointment. The advertised photo lead me to believe they were jumbo sized. I don't think it's intentionally misleading but be aware that they're no different in size than frozen mozarella sticks from the grocery store. I felt the same about the taste as well.

2. The online ordering system automatically selects a 20% tip and adds two service fees: I was charged a $0.75 fee and a $0.25 fee. So if you're in a hurry and clicking through the checkout process you'll probably miss that 20% tip like I did. I don't fault Strong's; I believe it's the ordering platform they're using that does this. My recommendation is to call Strong's and place the order via phone instead to avoid this.

3. I live 15 minutes away and every time I pickup and drive home, the pizza is fairly cold by the time I get home. I order from other take-out pizza shops in the Union and Walton area and Strong's is the only one that is somewhat cold by the time I get home. Perhaps they don't keep the to-go orders on a heated tray? Regardless it's still worth it and we enjoy it.

This is one of my top pizza places in the Union/Walton area.

Parking: There is no parking lot access from the Rt 42 entrance to that business plaza. However, you can park next to their parking lot and walk across the 15' landscaping to get to the restaurant.“

“The food is always fresh & hot. Staff is friendly and efficient.
Note: I do wish they would use a deli type paper liner for the food to be placed on since they use a Styrofoam box. Usually, the food is so hot that the Styrofoam is melted by the hot chicken & fries. I have emailed the corporate office with this suggestion. I think all the restaurants serve the takeout in Styrofoam boxes. My solution for now is to pull over in the parking lot and put paper napkins under the hotel food before taking it home.
No stars off. However, corporate need to make this change across the chain.“

“Was there on a Wednesday night for a fantasy draft. We had a table. Table service was for drinks only, that were served in plastic cups. Food you had to go order at the counter, then they mumbled your name over a speaker in the restaurant. I could never hear my name, but my food was ready at the counter after a while.... but nobody's name was attached to it. Wings were ok.

Parking: Plenty of spots in the lot, but it was crowded on a Wednesday night.“

“Before we start, realize this is in a college area...

I used to DoorDash late at night, and after finishing deliveries at midnight, there was usually nothing else open. So I would stop and grab Pizza here. It can take them a bit of time to get it ready as its always extremely busy. The food was pretty good, nothing to write home over. Decently priced and always hot food. The atmosphere was always lacking though. Not their fault. You have a college town at midnight, full of drunk and stoned college kids, they have to eat. So the place was usually packed out the door. Feels awkward at a 30 year old man going into a place full of college kids who stare at you like you are the oldest fart around. But the staff was always nice and one guy there was really cute. So it made up for it.

Vegetarian options: They do have a few vegan/vegetarian option, clearly marked on the menu and in the app.“

“After driving 40 minutes to the Bright location to be told that they were closing early for a party (on a Friday night), we called the Ft. Wright location to verify their hours. So after another 40 minute drive we arrived at this location. The staff was very friendly! They continued to put out fresh pizzas even with our arrival 30 minutes prior to the buffet closing. “Stopped in for a quick bite after golf. Wings were a little overcooked but edible. Special on Thursday is 10 wings for $7. Atmosphere was lively and a bingo game was being played in a separate area. Kids and adults were there and eating a wide variety of food.“
