“Had dinner at Pappy's Cookin' today for the first time. Pretty awesome place. I had fried shrimp and fries and Heather Hoptry-Queen had blackened chicken breasts. Food was great as was the service. Staff was friendly, attentive, and accurate. The portions. Wow. Neither of us could finish the whole thing and boxes were needed. Will def go back and def recommend it. Good home cooking style food. ❤️“

“My husband and I love dining inside at this location. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. They always go above and beyond. We never have trouble using our rewards/coupons on the DQ app here. If we're in a hurry, we can order ahead on the app and our food will be ready for us when we arrive. We almost always split a chicken tender basket and cheeseburgers. The gravy that is served with the chicken tenders is so delicious. The food is always delicious. This is our favorite Dairy Queen location!“

“Took a little longer than usual to get our happy meal, and the tables were a little dirty--but to be fair, they were slammed when we went in. The manager (I'm assuming) was apologetic and friendly, and gave my daughter an ice cream cone for our long wait. Unless the service is horrendous, long waits don't discourage me from patronizing a restaurant, so we'll be back!“

“We went to Sonora this past Saturday and cannot express enough how awesome it was. Our waiter was PHENOMENAL. He was so sweet and took care of us as well as multiple other tables quickly and efficiently. I hope he knows how much we appreciate him and how nice he was to our little one. The Korean tacos with chicken are so good and their Birria is one of my favorite things to get. The taco salad was great as well. All of the food was hot and flavorful. We will absolutely be returning!“

“I’ve been going here since I was little. The food is amazing, truly; a classic piece to Ironton. They’re always busy because they’re just that good. Their milkshakes are awesome. My current favorite ice cream is their new Blue Merle and I’m crossing my fingers that they never get rid of it. 💙“

“The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“

“There is a very kind lady who works in the drive thru and is always so friendly. I believe her name is Robin. I don't have Burger King often because it admittedly isn't the healthiest option, but when I choose a big greasy burger for lunch I'm always met with a smile and a nice conversation with Robin. She is a gem. That kind of service makes me want to come back more often. My order is consistently correct and burger is hot and fresh with tasty melty cheese!“

“We've ate here since they opened up in DTR and we are always super happy and impressed with how good the food and service here are!! We've built a wonderful friendship with the staff here and I just wanna say they are the best people!! The owner is kind and does a wonderful job with the place! “Always hot food... Which is surprising for fast food anymore... And the staff is friendly and fast -- even more surprising sometimes! Definitely worth trying to figure out the safety hazard of a main driveway trying to get into the place (don't be too shy to pass it and come back if it gets confusing -- it's not well designed in terms of traffic and safety)

“I'm surprised the ratings aren't higher for this Dairy Queen. It's actually very good. I visited on June 4, 2023 and once before that. I can't complain, I got a three piece chicken tender meal with a fudge sundae for $7. I was surprised to be served gravy with the tenders so I asked for barbecue dipping sauce. The first time I asked for an extra one and was charged $.75 which wasn't bad for the size of the sauce. I don't eat gravy but I did try it and it was actually good. I don't think I've ever had white gravy(it was sausage gravy I think, that's what it tasted like. Overall, I was pleased. I didn't like the sprite, it was watery and didn't taste real good so I went back in and got some ice in my Bubba container.“
